I have had a long day. We hope to have a Live webcam feed running off AmigaOS4 on a my MicroA1. But we are still for waiting for Amazon to deliver it. If all goes well, we shall be webcasting live images, with thanks to Corto.
I was gonna do a write up on how the day went, but alas, I am too tired. So I'm off to bed cos I have to be up early
I'll update this forum post tomorrow and Sunday as and when I can.

No cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it.
Just posted this on AmigaWorld, but thought it best to post it here too
Just back from the fair.
To the others that attended - was it me or was the whole announcement thing badly organised? You could hardly hear the bloke from A-eon and couldn't see him either unless you were crammed at the front. At the very least he should have had a mic on, and/or had everyone stand in a horseshoe shape so more people could see him.
In terms of info, the price will be "north of ?1,500" and they couldn't/wouldn't tell us the make of the CPU. They said it was likely the machine would be on sale before Xmas.
It was cool to see the X1000 running OS4.1 though and the SAM 460 running. I'm very much inclined to go down the SAM 460 route now though, cos >?1,500 is a little steep.
Sold up all my Amiga gear, not only an Amigan via Amiga Forever!
ill probably wait and see if they will sell x1000 without case/kbd/mouse etc and how much it will cost then if.... Ok if it was a laptop with that features but for a big box....
I see a CF card in the CF card slot. I presume that means they have the interface code for it working. Nice!
I noticed they are using a LAN card to connect to the internet. I would assume that the on board 1 gigabit Ethernet isn't working yet.
Looks like the RAM chips are on both sides of the CPU. There is no fan on the CPU so I guess that means the CPU doens't generate much heat. I'm sure the designers know what they are dong and that won't be an issue when both CPU cores are being used.
Overall the X1000 looks nice! The new SAM 460ex looks nice as well. I want both!
