It starts the hang during the installation/copy process and that kind be on 8% or 75%. It got to do with the usb files being loaded from the kicklayout file. I tried to edit that file and burn it again but it won't boot from the cd. I am a bit at a loss here on how to modify the file (commenting out the usb part) and put it back in the iso file and burn it correctly.

OS4.1 update 1 gives me the correct screen resolution during the installation.

Disabled the USB (which I turned on after I had it installed before) and I got the installation screen now.

Hi,

The normal OS4.1 disc boots just fine and I can install it but when I run the update one disc it hangs on the Amiga OS4.1 logo. I tried a second disc and same things happens. I am installing it on my A1SE. Anyone got any ideas why it is frozen on the log screen?

Hi,

When I want to select my screen resolution on OS4.1 I can only select 800x600 while I know it should do 1024x768. I had this before and I can't remember what I did. I see only Radeon 7000:800x600. Anyone got some ideas?

It was the optical drive. I also got some issues at one point when I booted from the optical drive so I swapped it with the one from my wife's computer and that worked just fine. I just finished the installation and sadly I have to get some sleep since I have to get up early for work. At least I am going to have a great weekend.

I always have the same feeling. No time and once you do start you got to stop and pick it up much later. But I am trying to find time and I do get some things done. Feels good also. You will regret it.

If I boot from the cd I get the insert floppy disk animation after a while. What I did before starting it is delete all partitions. Could it be that it happens because if this? Or is it my old cd drive? Before I get the animation I quickly see the OS4.1 picture.

Hi,

I installed it yesterday and it worked fine for 1 1/2 hours after which it crashes and the lights start flashing and I can only switch it off. Even after I switched it off it still does the same thing when I switch it back on. Only after leaving it off for some time it will start again but just now it only took 10 minutes before it crashed again. Faulty card or something else?

Thanks. I just fitted the Elbox 1200/4 which added a butt load (well for classic Amiga standards) of memory and it works fine now. It even is much faster now.

Small update. It does start AmiFTP suddenly but clicking connect to does not bring up the connection window.

I installed the latest version on my A1200 and I was wondering what it actually adds to the start up that uses up memory? Before I could start EasyNet and AmiFTP but now after I start EasyNet there is not enough memory left for AmiFTP to run.
