Really sad to miss it last weekend Mikey. Had a family BBQ (the last go of the summer most likely).

I wonder if anyone could tell me if they travel up from the Hampshire area for the meetings? I've looked at going up on the train, but it looks like a 4 hour journey on public transport. Will happily split the petrol money.

Lawrence

Hampshire's quite large, where about's in Hampshire are you?

AmigaKit are working as quickly as they can but you have to remember all systems are shipped fully tested and that takes a lot of time.

I happen to know how many systems have shipped since I'm the one handling the AmigaOS serial numbers.

So hopefully I'll get mine in a week or so, having just paid the
"Final demand"

So far I count two people who have (rather excitedly) let us know that their machines have arrived. While it's nice to hear their first impressions, I would have expected that more would have arrived by now.

So, new A1-X1000 owners, please drop by and say hi in this thread. And, if you're not too busy playing with your new toy, some first impressions, photos, or more, would be appreciated.

Hans

Hi Hans still waiting for the " final demand" payment E-mail to arrive but as I think I only just slipped in, I'll be one of the last to get mine but when it gets here

Utterly superb, no problems whatsoever with my Sam/OS4.1. The USB is a passive pass-through, and the only switching mechanism is a physical button, so no problems with drivers either. I actually have a hub plugged on the back end of mine, and any devices switch over seemlessly, so you aren't strictly restricted to plugging only a keyboard and mouse in.

Windows 7 sometimes loses USB devices if I switch away and then back to it too quickly (usually trying again fixes this), but I haven't seen a single problem caused by it on OS4.1.

I can't recommend this highly enough, and it's a bargain at £15.

Cheers Chris, just ordered one, hope it works with the x1000* as well

Slash
Like sundown I run a 24" (Samsung) on my Micro (Radeon 7000)
at 1920 x 1080, admittedly via VGA, I run ImageFX and Candy Factory pro at 1280 x 960 with no problems (well they look OK to me, ie not blurred)
So if you can get yourself a ATI 9250 you shouldn't have any problems.

What type of Monitor are you hoping to get?

My Samsung is a Syncmaster P2450 with VGA/DVI and HDMI inputs

Looking Nice, I personally would keep the USB ports, if people want a card reader they are cheap enough to buy, so even having one plugged in all the time would still leave a USB port free.

Hi ChrisH
Not that I'm going, but I'm sitting at home ill, I thought I'd have a look,If you go West (Via google maps)on Ryland road till you get to the Mini Roundabout, take the first exit as you travel down there, there is a White House on your Left, a bit further a house with Mock Tudor Beams on the front of it. carry on going the Village hall is on your right, (near to the telephone exchange) it seems to have a Blue garage ( Ok Blue garage is the Police station so don't drive in there). Seems to have a lot of Parking spaces.

If your Sat Naving maybe put in "The Grove" as that road is almost opposite the Entrance

hope that may help

Edit added the bit out the blue"Police" Garage
