@trixie

One tries to remain polite in a public discorse forum.

What I think is more along the lines of
"WTF!!! HOW MUCH???? DOES IT COME WITH WITH GOLD PLATING?"

The news of the A1222+ is disappointing but what I sadly expected.

@Capehill

Just out of interest, which UBoot version did you have? I have version 1.2.0

The question one has to ask.

Is the PCI slot in the MicroA1 just purely for decoration?

As a MicroA1 owner, I have given up with upgrading the beast.
Everything I have tried on the PCI port hasn't worked. Yes, USB1.1 sucks big time.

Good luck with your quest Walkero.

@walkero
THANKS!

It was the version of Wookiechat that was the issue. Was on 2.9 - Now on the last version of 2.11.

Looks like development ceased over a decade ago. Too bad, I would have given the developer a little thank you via a donation.

Cheers fella.

I took my MicroA1 to work and plugged it into the external network.

It doesn't work on there either.

I suspect there is an issue with OS4/Internet Prefs or Wookiechat is no longer system friendly.

I believe that leaves us with ZERO IRC Clients for OS4.

@daveyw

I'm on Plusnet. (Am gonna install an IRC Client on my Windows box just to check)

Just out of interest. Is Wookiechat the only OS4 native irc client left? I thought there was a copy of AMIRC that run on PPC?

Cheers

Using Wookiechat...

I am puzzled. Have tried to move my internet connection on internet prefs from DHCP to Static. Same result.

Can anyone help out an old fart please?

Cheers
