hehe, RtCW is one of my favorite (TOP 5) fps of all time, great atmosphere and tight gameplay (not to mention that at MAX settings it's still a looker even today).

Sounds like one of those projects Andrea (afxGroup) would jump on immediately (right?

Could be worth mentioning this to the OS4 developers team, now that they have the X1000 to support, too!

Soon to own a powerful AmigaOne X1000 with latest AmigaOS 4.1 incarnation ;) Dual Core PPC!

Good news, hopefully it will reinforce Amiga's game library.
By the way, if you look at youtube comments to Amiga classic games you can easily spot among them their programmers. Maybe these people could come back to our platform after a little encouragement?

I certainly lack the time and the motivation to start yet another project that will be used as the basis of a flame war.

Seriously, if you do want to contact me write me a mail. You're more likely to get a reply then.

Yes and I greatly prefer you spend time on further developping AOS than port (another) GPL FPS game (even if I can understand that you might need from time to time to 'escape' a bit OS development just to have fun, and it's always good to be able to show some "cult" games running under OS4).
For example I would prefer having some sort of threads API, or even better multicore support, etc. But it might be because I have a dev POV rather than a simple user POV.

Anyway your signature seems a bit alarming, please keep bothering, without your dedication I would not be running AOS 4 and I would really miss it !

Hey welcome back, haven't heard much from you later.

@Rogue

Who in their right mind would expect Rogue to do anymore? Surely he his busy enough already.

Surely game ports are outside the scope of AOS and Hyperion's business direction..

I hope not, would be nice to have some more games. That said I don't expect Hyperion to be doing ports like this, they have more important work. We need Hyperion to keep improving AOS and make sure the foundations are there for others to take advantage of when porting or developing games.

There are Spotup, Kas1e, Hunoppc,AfxGroup,.... would port games
for our pleasure

Or maybe solution will came from a MorpOS user who will port first theses games and after for AOS4.

Maybe one of them will take a look on theses games in the futur....

Why bother???

So because of some trolls/assholes on amigaworld.net you conclude nothing is worth your devotion or what?

It's really sad that those assholes gets to you personally, so you can't see the bigger picture full of gratefull anticipating amigans/customers.

Seems like the trolls are winning over you and us. Soon you might even quit working on AmigaOS, because they say stupid things and hurt your feelings. Well if that's all it takes to make you throw in your dedicational towel, then maybe AOS is better off without you.

Me! I'm tired of them assholes and totally ignore their exsistance, and keeps beliving in your work, AmigaOS and everything that follows. They're not even worthy of your thoughts man.

BUT A LOT OF US ARE!! - so stop writing such bullshit in your signature

While it would be nice to hava gemas "Amiga was not able to run" at Classic times, Hyperion should stay devoted to OS development, and great job boys

Supported you with OS 4.0 Classic and OS 4.1 SAM, and will do whenever possible

However, it would be nice to see at least old PPC killer games such as Hexen 2,Shogo, Wipeout, Descent Freespace (and few more) patched to work flawlessly under OS 4.1 like you did with Quake 2.

At least games developed by Hyperion would be your camp and would both reinforce your sales, as well as provide some fun. At least is stupid to have PPC games Classics were able to run unavail for next gen AMiga OS.

Hi,

I`m so impressed with your team work :)

I`m still amazed because I can run AOS ver 4.1 on a PPC system, and play youtube vids Use YAM and OWB and stream radio

It`s got to be http://www.181.fm home of the 60`s and 70`s.

On account I`m a Silver surfer.

Thanks and thanks again for all your work :)

I have quite a collection of classic Amigas, which always get used, even my grand daughter loves playing "Zool" and "Super Methane Brothers" on one of my A600`s.

Kind Regards, Michael
