Re: Enhancer Software Core Release 2

Quite a regular

Hi all!

Could someone point me to where I can actually download the ominous "Core" package?
- I already logged into that OS4 shop app and there were nothing to see and I
- tried to log into the web site (AmiSphere), but that doesn't like my shop account credentials...?!?

EDIT: Never mind - I were able to download the package now, I can't get that you have to actually "register". woa...

Did I miss something or Timberwolf is working with the last os4.1 Final + updated?

It is another urban legend that Timberwolf doesn't run (*) on AmigaOS 4.1FEU2. It always did - but people had notable problems to collect and merge the correct installation files for this. On my three different systems Timberwolf never had stopped working (*).

(*): Please read "run" and "working" as >90% of the time with bugs, i.e. a crash every now and then, non-released ressources after exit etc. But this was true from the beginning, so it doesn't changed over time...

@joerg

Thanks for clarification. Just for the record: I solely bought the Enhancer Package for your software (Partition Wizard, SFS et al.).

(And the update for Tunenet by Andy, of course...)

Is there any way of making xadopus open the archives in the same lister instead of a new one when double clicking archives?

Yes, this would be fine: To open the archive inside the SRC lister (and not in a new one...). I would have the same question regarding the ftp.module: I would like to open the FTP content in the current SRC lister. not in a new one...

May be one of the porters and devs know how to do that?

Hello!

I'm not sure whether I remember right or not: Wasn't there some kind of tool to convert an existing Dopus4 configuration into a Dopus 5 config? Any ideas where to look/search?

Maybe you should purchase one of the Enhancer packages. BTW the same is true for other tools like PartitionWizard.

Here ADPro - more or less - works as expectetd. Yes, you have to adjust the MAXMEM tooltype. Nowadays pictures are much larger then they used to be at ADPro heydays...
And, yes, ADPro doesn't like to long file names.
Nevertheless I do not experience your problems - AmigaAMP just happlily plays while ADpro loads or does it's JPEG decoding or whatever.

Re: Timberwolf is now open source

@328gts

I read that every now and then and I'm puzzled every time. I have three running AmigaOS 4.1FEu1 systems. Timberwolf work on *all* of them. "Work" means inside the usual Timberwolf-relevant definition of "it runs and does what it's supposed to do, but sometimes does some funny things".

And this is the usual behavior since the beginning and hasn't changed from whatever OS update came in the meantime. So "stopped working" is at least here not really the case.
