After nearly 30 years, the classic city-building strategy game The Settlers II is finally coming to the Amiga with an officially licensed, fully optimized release from Ubisoft. The Gold Edition features four civilizations, 30+ professions, expansive campaigns, and richly detailed environments.
Available in Digital (€29.90), Box (€49.90), and limited Collector’s Edition (€99.90). Pre-orders before September 18, 2025 include an art print and five bonus maps.
System Requirements – 68k (Min): Amiga AGA, 68040 @ 40 MHz, 32 MB RAM, OS 3.1, AHI 4.18, 600 MB HDD. PPC (Min): PPC-Amiga, 603e @ 175 MHz, 32 MB RAM, OS 3.1+WarpUP or OS 4.1, AHI, 500 MB HDD.
It would also be great if Heretic II became available digitally — I’ve bought pretty much every Amiga release in recent years except that one.
Yes, OS4, WarpUP and 68k versions are all included, you choose at installation. Settlers 2 is BTW the "Secret Project #1" about which I have been hinting that I would be working on.

I noticed that this will be available on the 18th of October, which is the first day of the Amiga40 event in Germany. Do you know if it will be possible to pick up the items there? Or is it expected that they will be shipped before that date?
I thought the idea was that you can pick it up there. But not 100% sure.
That doesn't sound likely because when you preorder from their website, postage is added to the price. Not that it is a lot, but if I meant to pick the game up at Amiga40 (which I do), why would I want to preorder and pay postage on top?

Pity there isn't an upgrade option for people who bought the original release back in the day. I already have a presentation box and manual and can't justify £55 when I just need the the OS4 executable.
