My HP officejet 4630 is found on my network in airscan, however when I click to add the scanner. AIrscan says it is retrieving scanner information, but hen eventually returns to idle without adding my scanner to the list. I can repeat this steps many time and I always get the same result.
I believe my printer supports airprint, at least according to HPs support page.
Anyone else have this problem and find any solutions?

Regarding emulation and support for it, my personal take as just a consumer, is that anything that increases the overall number of users of OS4 is a good thing.
Being able to quickly and inexpensively try and use OS4 in emulation is what got me back into the idea of being an Amiga user once again and eventually what fueled me to buy an x5000.
But even when I thought I wouldn't be able to find one as I could not even find any for sale online for sometime, I was willing to invest in a high end PC, just to be able to emulate OS4 at the highest level.
So personally I think that it will drive people to PPC hardware in the short term while it is available. But eventually it will also allow us to have access to hardware when supplies run out or the current offerings break or become outdated.
I don't see any down sides.

Unfortunately, I don't have any solutions yet. I have just noticed that when my system has those problems it correlates with the problem with the system clock.
Also I have read on the forums here that the x5000 has some issues with clock that are yet unresolved.
Hopefully we will get a solution soon.

Out of curiosity do you have an issue with the clock as well? Does the clock stay updated when the system is off? I notice that I continue to have problems with the clock having to be corrected after every time I have shut it down.
And when this happens sometimes the system will not update and then will cause Amidock not to work and sometimes a full crash.
This behaviour seems to go away if I am able to set the time after starttup and it corrects the system time.
The issues seems to be related on my X5000.

That might boost the sales of all available PPC hardware, sure would make the value of an x5000/40 much higher.

@SinanSam460
Awesome work! Thanks for doing this! I have never played this game before, but it is exactly my kind of game. I had just finished playing M.A.C.E. Tower Defense and was hoping to find something on Os4.1 that I could play. This one should keep me going for quite some time.
Is there a way to support your work? I really hope you continue to bring games like this to OS4.
One question, while the game is playing fine for me (on a x5000 40, radeon rx 550) when I load the game I get a message saying it can't find extra assets. I did copy the assests folder into the directory, so it is there. I think there may be a version difference. Do you know what version it is looking for or know where I can get the compatible assets for this version?
Thank you again.

I was thinking that I would love to see the makers of M.A.C.E. Tower Defense to make an RTS game in the M.A.C.E. universe. It would also be great to add cross platform multiplayer support as well.

@kas1e
Congrats on finishing the game.
I bought this game shortly after getting my X5000 about 2 months ago and have been playing daily. After struggling on many levels, I think I am on a roll now as I seem to be able to pass most on the first try or by the second.
I havn't finished it yet, but I really hope they keep publishing games for OS4. The quality of this game and the original M.A.C.E., which I got with my X5000, are at a high level, and I would love to see more from them.

I got my X5000 5040 from Amedia as well and I am in the US. Honestly I was just excited to actually be able to get one. It cost me more than a top of the line PC, but I love the experience so far. It has been worth it. I had them build the system for me and it has been great. Did have a problem with the video card in shipping, and had to buy another, but Amedia is taking care of that for me.
I recommend reaching out to them if anyone is looking for a system as they will guide you through it and will ship internationally.

How many times do I need to explain this???? Did you ever get a serial number? I just bought this on Amistore as well, and can't use it at all because of the serial number issue that you described.

@Hans
Other than still selling Turboprint for Amiga, have they ever mentioned any type of support for Amiga? Just curious.
I would pay for an updated Turbo Print for sure, especially if it streamlined printing and added insupport for modern printers.
I think that would be well worth the money.

Is the new Final Writer still being worked on? I hadn't seen any updates in a long time. I am excited about having my favorite word processor updated for the present.
I realize it takes time, but I feared the developer had abandoned it.

I use LPR: with my networked HP laser printer. I tried a number of different network printer drivers when I first got the printer, and LPR: seemed to work the best (and it's OS4 native, unlike some of the others).
For programs that can generate PostScript output natively (like AmiPDF) I just send the PostScript directly to LPR:. For programs that don't generate PostScript on their own I use the Amiga PostScript printer driver, which is set to send its output to LPR:. (The PostScript driver has a passthrough mode that can send PostScript directly to the printer, but it's easier to just send straight to LPR:.)
My printer has a duplexer that can print on both sides of the page. The Amiga printing system doesn't know about duplexing, so I added a line to the postscript_init.ps file that the PostScript printer driver uses to enable (or, if I edit it, to disable) duplexing. That only works when using the PostScript driver, so I also set the printer to duplex by default, which works when sending PostScript directly to LPR:. Thanks. Very cool.
