Here's the new repository:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtamigaosnative/ Current state of affairs is, that qmake has been built
(completely native) and I'm working on the rest of the command line tools (moc etc). Once this is done, I will continue to try and do a completely native version of libQtCore.so with no amicygnix utils and no glib. This should be "fairly simple".
Once all this is over, I can continue to the hard part, namely to do libQtGui.so. This is not going to be easy...
All help and encouragement is welcome!

Well, I'm not a coder, so I cannot help you much here.
Just to let you know that I would appreciate *a lot* a QT native (!) port.
This will have both a massive impact for us, Amiga users, in terms of potential new ports and/or new native apps (easier to be ported on other platforms) and will have a massive impact outside (can you imagine going
at the QT Developer Day showing off an Amiga?!?!?!?).

@Joeled
I'd advise you to have replacements available, before that beer turns stale.
Even for Alfkil, this is no one-beer task.
@Alfkil
Yay! Go, man, go!
Best regards,
Niels

(can you imagine going at the QT Developer Day showing off an Amiga?!?!?!?) Well, technically you can already do that with the Amicygnix port if you want
.
@all
Thanks for the encouragement

Awesome! Even an AmiCygnix version is great, but a native version would be fantastic!
If I didn't have the slowest Internet connection in the world and have to be away from my Sam440 12 hours each day for work, I might be tempted to help.
I used Qt at work for several years.

@alfkil Man, I'd love a new user interface on Amiga! Would be great to program with something a little more feature complete. Good luck with the project.. I'll be watching you. :) (not literally..)

@alfkil So forgive my noobness, but what is QT? Had a very brief look at the website - so its not QuickTime - is it some sort of programming language?

@djrikki
QT (done by Nokia) its one more developers toolkit (and not only gui) toolkit (like tons of others, GTK, all that wxwidgets stuff and so on), and also pretty popular. There is open-source apps which based on the QT:
http://qt-apps.org/ For users and developers it mean more new and modern programms and games.

Cool! Qt is nice to program for/in.
Did I mention I have been at a garden party at the home of the inventor of Qt (no, it's not Nokia) and the first employer of Trolltech!?
He had a prettty nice house
Software developer for Amiga OS3 and OS4.
Develops for OnyxSoft and the Amiga using E and C and occasionally C++
