Basically what you need is a library of items, colors and patterns available to use in real life. (real-life paint colors and real-life patterns such as hardwood, carpeting, wallpapers, etc.) And it would be convenient to be able to easily resize items, such as have a cabinet object which can be resized to various standard or even custom widths.
I'm not really sure what unique properties of X1000 would make any difference to CAD or house design. I don't expect Xcore would be useful for CAD software, we do not have any GPGPU support for maths acceleration, other OSes do graphics compositing, there's not really anything that would make a CAD program (house or other kind) any different than any other computer, it's just a port to PPC and OS4.
Blender might be the best 3D CAD SW for AOS4 at the moment. We also have also good selection of 68k apps, like Real3D, Aladdin 4D, Lightwave, Imagine, Tornado3D, etc, etc.
Not sure if Amiga version of blender support the import of autocad files, but I would be interested in playing with my own house design, once I get it converted to blender.

Thank you for the several links of how to use Blender! That had me very interested. Look complicated to build such styled house designs, but it's nice to see that Blender makes this possible. Will definitely learn to use that program, as well as taking a look on that CAD program found from OS4Depot.net..
Again, thank you everybody. These should be extremely useful when the time comes.
Soon to own a powerful AmigaOne X1000 with latest AmigaOS 4.1 incarnation ;) Dual Core PPC!
When I updated to AmigaOS 4.1 FE, Cycas stopped working. I had to reinstall it to get it to work again. It may be something as simple as Cycas fonts being in the Fonts: drawer.

I thought the same, but designing a garage Apparently Cycos is the right tool, but it is not very easy to use without reading the docs first.
@ddni
The serial number is in the readme on the About this release page: 548200795 Just fill in some name and this number and it will start. I fixed the html doc which was encrypted/compressed somehow, and with nowrap html tables making it unreadable. Cycos help
