@Rogue Quote: I certainly lack the time and the motivation to start yet another project that will be used as the basis of a flame war.
 Many of us, or dare I say: the 'silent' majority, appreciate your efforts. OS4 is a great achievement, especially given all the obstacles and bumps in the road. Thanks. Please carry on 'bothering' .

@Rogue I can understand how tiresome it might be when having more than enough to work on the OS4 core... Perhaps it could be an idea to hand this game project over to others willing to work on an AmigaOS4 version of the game, that will make full use of the X1000? It's a project that can't be missed... You don't have to take on more work than you already have more than enough with, but bring the project to others you might know will do the work.. I have faith.

@djrikki Hello there. I have been a bit busy, and then it was the summer vacation. It's true i haven't been much around, still trying to be patient about the X1000. But i'm here now. I hope you are doing fine, too.

@Hondo
You are right and I fully agree with you. If every developer really bothered what people who have too much free time write in the forums then probably we would not have any sort of software. Personally, I think that OS4 core developers should stay away from any free dicussion on the topics concerning their beliefs and opinions. Looking back on most of the flame threads it is clear that their comments, made in a good will even years ago, turn out to be the food for the trolls and wicked fud. I think that they should either skip any commenting activity and stick to some formal announcements or just limit the commentaries to some necessary explanations concerning technical issues. The rest is a simple food for trolls and rubbish like the one we can see even in this thread.
Back on track now, is MiniGL of OS4 capable of handling that sort of graphics (no wrong intentions, just asking because I am curious)?

Why not, OpenArena share the same id Tech 3 engine and it's run on OS4, real problem is our not so good video driver, and this is visible expecially on slow machines ...

Yep, TiniGL on morphos it almost the same in terms of OpenGL support as MiniGL (only faster in twice). Morpho's TiniGL also not have Shaders support, so, port for aos4 99% possible.

Yep - QIII, iOQIII and OA are running on OS4.1 - so RTCW et al. should theoretically work as well...

@samo79 And just where do you get this bullshit from? This is what splits this community. There is NO port as yet, someone is working in MOS world on it, unless you have access to some other priveliged information.

You have hit the nail on the head. The problem is that negative few are much more vocal than vast majority. This is a problem in general society and not just related to the Amiga forums. @Rogue These people will always be negative no matter what the situation. If someone cannot be objective, their opinions are worthless. There is no point either listening to them or engaging in a debate. Don't let them stop you from doing whatever it is you want to do.

@acefnq What's bullshit ? Our video drivers are not optimized at all, there are a lot of benchmark that demonstrate it, this is not a merely speculation, this is a fact :-/ @mailman
