@samo79

RX cards do work on the Sam460. I use a Yeston RX560 with no issues.

Others on this forum have reported other RX cards working fine on the Sam460.

@utri007

You don't need to install the hotfix if you have the latest version of update 2.

Version number 53.14, downloaded after January 12,2021, has the hot fix integrated.

Very true, each persons journey is their own.
You cannot change somebody who does not want to change.
You can only show them the possibilities.

Well everyone dies eventually.

@kas1e

Very good work, well done to all involved.
Do you know if this is likely to be close to the limit of performance increase?
Or is there more to come?

@levellord

The ffplay.xdelta3 doesn't work.
After unpacking ffmpeg, you need to run the unpack file that's in the folder.
That will produce a version of FFPlay without the .xdelta3 at the end.
It's that FFPlay that you need to copy over.

@levellord

Did you download FFMpeg from OS4Depot?
If so, did you use the unpack icon?
If not try that and then copy the FFPlay file to C.

It includes the ability to not only choose the player from a requester but also allows a choice to download a stream copy or convert to mp3 as it's downloading. It requires ffmpeg for downloading to work.

Nice touch.

@ktadd

Nothing happens when I use this script.
Tried creating one from scratch and also copying and pasting this over the script created by Walkero.

Either way when pressing the play button, nothing happens.
The original script from Walkero works fine, I can get streams to play in Emotion no problem.

I've modified the script to display a requester which will default to AmigaAmp if a selection isn't made in 3 seconds. The requester can be dissabled completely by modifying a variable.

Good idea, that will very useful.

Quote:
There is no way in the script to tell if the selection is a podcast or not, unless I try to parse URL's and try to determice by the extension. Not worth it to go through that much trouble though given the script is a temporary solution.

Did think I was pushing it with that though but not a dev so just thought i'd suggest it in case it was easier than I thought it would be.
Your new modified script negates the need for it in any case.
