Ignition turns 30 this year! Therefore, there will be another bug fix for Ignition this year. This will be version 1.31. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any feedback on Ignition so far, so this is your last chance to support and help keep it going.
Feel free to post here in the forum or send a private message.
Please report any bugs you've noticed! If I don't know the errors, I can't try to fix it. If you want development, you have to support me!
The following changes are already included in version 1.31: - No more error messages when using underlined characters during loading - All colors are now available for charts, not just the 10 predefined ones - New default configuration with more colors for German and English - Cell protection now also works when attempting to change values within the cell, not just in the input field - A password is now required for documents
Users of the current xlsx add-on already have the extended color configuration, due to Excel's color settings.
I might have not been able to find it, but is there a way to use a dollar sign in stead of euro for currency formatting? Also I would like to support further development. What is the best way?
IgnitionOS4 is my go to spreadsheet program for OS4. I use it for many different purposes, not just currency stuff. Since I live in Canada, I would like to be able to use a dollar sign instead of a euro sign. I can't recall any actual issues with the program, but I don't use the program every day. Please continue your support.
if you want to use another currency sign as the €. then use Format templates in the settings. choose the currency template, change € to $ an press return. then press ok and leave the settings. save the settings and now you use the $ currency sign.
one way to support me is sent me reports, when you find bugs. if you miss a special function, let me this. maybe i can help. spent me a tea/coffee when you meet me somewhere
in the standard config after installation it is the second entry in the list of the format templates. in the list must appear 0 € | 0.00 € maybe your font has no € sign ?!
you can also create a own entry for currency entry. push new and then choose the type value and format 0 $ (push return!!), put the slider from auto to 2.
I am also very pleased to have Ignition available on OS4. Whenever I need a spreadsheet, it's the one I use.
But I must admit, I very rarely need a spreadsheet these days. My wife is the calculating one here, and she uses Windoze (did try to convince her, but no such luck).
So that is why I haven't given lots of feedback in later years.
And like others said, it's working so well, so there's not much to report back to you.
thank you for all the replies. i do not know that ignitionOS4 is so perfect . but as mention, some bugs a corrected in 1.31 and now a wait for some reports which hopefully also can be corrected.
if you also miss a function or a feature, this will then made maybe with a 1.4 of ignition.
