@Maijestro
Thank you for sharing. Very nice Workbench screen and tools.
Are you using the Enhancer clock for the analog clock?

@SteffJay
I agree with smf. You may be missing something required by AEON's Updater software. All the required software is included in the Enhancer Software Core distribution.
You require Updater, AmiSphereServer, as well as a login ID and password that should work for both.
Updater also requires some gadgets found in the classes/gadgets drawer. These gadgets are required for the Updater GUI.
Also check Prefs/WBStartup to see what shows up there.
If RinghioServer is shown in the Startup modules list, remove the checkmark and delete RinghioServer from the list.
RinghioServer is an old server that was included on the AmigaOS 4.1 FE CD.
Updater is only partially compatible with RinghioServer and will lockup while waiting for some response that RinghioServer cannot give.
If you have NotificationServer, that should be ok, because it is the Enhancer Software replacement for RinghioServer.
NotificationServer is not included in the Enhancer Core Software bundle, but is not actually required for Updater to work. It just provides some status messages.

@Rigo Corrected ... Thanks nbacheUpdate ... AmiUpdate 2.58 working fine. Today, AmiUpdate detected a new version of AmiUpdate. I updated from AmiUpdate 2.57 to AmiUpdate 2.58 successfully. Then I rolled AmiSSL back to AmiSSL 5.20 and reset my system. Successfully updated AmiSSL to AmiSSL 5.21 using AmiUpdate. Thanks Rigo. AmiUpdate seems to be working fine again. --- redfox

Thanks for your advice kas1e. I was stung once in the past and learned my lesson, so I am very selective now.
Update... related Enhancer Locale/Catalogs
I got rid of those Enhancer Locale/Catalogs because they were not required. AmiDVD, AmiSphereServer and Updater work fine in English.

On June 14, 2025, I installed AmiDVD.
Unfortuately, it requires gadgets from the Enhancer Software package. And the Enhancer Software support system.
- Enhancer AmiDVD - Enhancer Classes/Gadgets - Enhancer AmiSphereServer - Enhancer Updater - Enhancer NotificationServer - related Enhancer documentation - related Enhancer Locale/Catalogs
Also used Enhancer Updater to update - Enhancer Prefs/Notifications

A cautionary tale regarding reinstalling OS4 FE

My OS4 system is an ancient Eyetech MicroA1-C ...
This is a cautionary tale regarding reinstalling AmigaOS 4.1 FE ...
During the last few years I have encountered some strange experiences that prompted me to reinstall AmigaOS 4.1 FE from scratch.
When elf.library 54.1 first came out, I had issues with every python script on my system. Eventually, we discovered problems with my SObjs directory.
I performed a clean install of AmigaOS 4.1 FE ... - quick format, installed FE, Update 1, original Update 2, Update 2 Hotfix
A few days later, on February 3, 2024, I started having issues with MultiView. Sometimes, I would get a DSI error while trying to view text files. Not every time, but only text files were affected. The DSI errors always indicated locale.library.
Only MultiView and MultiViewer were affected. All other programs appeared to be ok.
I tried many things, older versions of MultiView, older versions of locale.library and older versions of datatypes.
I even tried older versions of NotePad just in case NotePad was setting up the conditions for the MultiView DSI errors.
--- After enduring this issue for a year and three months, I decided to install OS4 on a different partition. ---
On May 29, 2025, I disabled my existing SYS: partition (DH0:) and performed a clean install on my DH4: partition.
Quick format and installed AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition from CD.
Over the next few days, I tested NotePad and MultiView with no issues.
Installed Update 1 ... no MultiView DSI errors.
Installed the fixed version of Update 2 ... no MultiView DSI errors.
- used AmiUpdate to download and install required updates - installed previously downloaded AmiSSL 5.20 - installed previously downloaded AmiUpdate 2.55
I added my other stuff gradually and tested NotePad and MultiView many times with no issues.
I slowly built a new User-Startup file from scratch, rather than copying my previous User-Startup file.
---
On June 6, 2025, I decided to do a clean install on my original "real" OS4 partition (DH0:).
This time, I disabled DH4: and re-enabled DH0: ...
I followed a slightly more compressed time schedule, but did the install very carefully and tested between steps.
- backed up my new User-Startup and some other important files - quick format of DH0: - installed AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition from AmigaOS 4.1 FE CD - installed AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 1 - installed AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition Update 2 (fixed version) - used AmiUpdate to download and install required updates - installed previously downloaded AmiSSL 5.20 - installed previously downloaded AmiUpdate 2.55
I have only encountered one DSI error with MultiView. I think I had the same file open in a different window in the background.
Other than that one DSI error, no other issues whatever with MultiView or NotePad or copying from MultiView to NotePad.
---
I never did figure out what the issue was with MultiView.
Was there an error in my old User-Startup file?
Were there some zombies lurking in my old install on DH0:?
Anyways ... I'm happy with the final results.

@experts/hyperion guys
Surely there is a way to modify the installation routine to automatically adjust the kicklayout file for owners of X5000 and X1000, instead of using this risky method of expecting the user to make the changes manually.
And, yes, keep a copy of the original kicklayout file just in case.

I am sorry to see this horror story. I sincerely hope that you can recover.
I do not own an X5000, but I am very happy that I had a CD-ROM drive and backup CD to fall back to on those occasions that I ran into problems.

No, you did not miss something. The "original" PartitionWizard does not work with Update 2. Neither does the PartitionWizard included in Enhancer Software v2.2. I don't know if there is working beta version of PartitionWizard, but the version I got with Enhancer Software definately does not work.

@mcleppa
Using AirPrint v0.36 ...
When I launch Final Writer 97, the airprint GUI opens.
If I open a document in Final Writer and print to postscript printer, I get a Printing Document Progress requester from Final Writer. Progress bar does not move and nothing appears in airprint preview or on printer. Final Writer is frozen and the only solution is to reset the machine.
I tried again, this time printing to postscript file. Final Writer seemed to be happy. Then I used airprint GUI to find the file. The file appeared ok in the preview, but when I clicked the print button, I got an info requester saying "Could not open ppmfile".
The file to print field shows T:printfile.raw
This is not the original file name that I picked.
Airprint debug.log is blank.
