I think that we need now a team of developers to get your Cygnix ports and complete them with the GUI part. So that you work together porting apps to OS4.

@afxgroup Nice. However, Cygnix interferes with my SDK install. I hope that this problem can be rectified because currently I have Cygnix's entry in the user-startup disabled. While we're on the subject, what happened to the GTK-Reaction and GTK-MUI projects? Hans

@Hans
Yes, I'd very much like to have a ReAction standard OS4 look
to the window frames atleast, ideally the gadgets and
buttons also. Also having all the cygnix apps open up directly
in Workbench instead of on its own screen would be perfect.
Nice to see AbiWord working! Next Firefox?

@Antique
AbiWord is a text processor with lots of features I cannot list here. It can load and save over 25 file formats including MSWord and OpenOffice.
Here is the homepage of AbiWord:
http://www.abisource.com I hope to release it at the end of march

@cygnusEd Will we be able to point to Amiga directories to load MS files and images such like? If so this is one huge step forward for AOS4. Also like Hans I have to disable the assign in user startup as it inteferes with NetPanzer (with Hans it is SDK) any fix possible? Cheers Ace

Or do you mean the Cygnix SDK interferes (I haven't installed that here)?

After I installed Cygnix, running gcc made the system ask me to insert/mount various volumes. I'm surprised that you didn't have any problems. Do you VBCC instead of GCC? GCC uses a kind of pseudo Unix environment including /bin /usr directories. So does Cygnix. That's why the interfere with one-another. I can't switch to VBCC because I use C++.
