Works great

upd 4 here and i got the crash on exit, but i wasn t able to catch a log. Once and then never happened.

The bookmark import/export doesn t work, need to try with a backup from windows FF

and as you see on the previous line and this line it seems special chars aren t(!) displayed.

I would like to add a feature request:

- Snapshot window (position and size)
- AREXX port? (Possibility to use it from YAM by immediately opening a new tab/window when viewing html mails through URLOpen)

Awesome, it is already pretty useable on my XE.

Great job

I was able to export my bookmarks from FireFox on my PC as an html file.

In Timberwolf, I opened 'Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks' from the menu bar.

I then selected Import HTML form the 'Import and Backup' menu.I then shut-down Timberworf to make sure the new setting were saved. On starting up again all my bookmarks are available.

Edit: of course this assumes you use FireFox on another platform.

Is there a way to change the default TimberWolf font size? I know you can change the fonts for the web pages, but I mean the font for the menus and stuff. It seems kinda big on my 1024x768 screen.

Importing bookmarks.html from muiowb works as well.
I end up with two bookmark files, one called Mozilla and one called OWB, but as long as they work!

Hello,

Just installed Timberworlf. Great job and thanks for the hard work.

On my SAM447ep:
- Take age to launch each time (more than 60 seconds)
- allways 100% CPU.
- Not able to give me a page (gmail never loaded completely because allways 100%).

- Timberwolf loaded with no page. I played with the menu and open options.
Sync per default. I click on Advanced and 60seconds+ to see advanced menu).

- Open the tools menu and scroll vertically over the tools menu available take pratically 100%.

Unfortunately, not usable on my SAM440ep 667mhz. I'm using a CRT monitor with 1024x768 16bit screenmode.

Next version will be surely better for low end amiga-ng

Ok it's slow but it works and pages are loaded.

Did you update your fonts cache?

Nope, it does nothing, it won t create, import or use a backed up bookmarks file whatsoever.
Sidebar stays blanks...ah well, i will wait for the next release

Nice to see it working, and I look forward to future versions, but unfortunately it isn't usable for me at the moment (on my X1k) because:

1. After a random amount of time it seems to freeze (even with some Amiga sites), with CPU at 100%, and then eventually the whole OS freezes. (But no-one else has reported this, so maybe there is something wrong with my system.)

2. File requesters either don't work at all, or else cannot navigate to any obvious Amiga path. So cannot import or restore bookmarks, save files, etc.

3. There is no right mouse button pop-up menu, which I usually use all the time (e.g. for copy & paste).

4. Copy & paste keyboard shortcuts don't work???

On the plus side, HTML5 YouTube almost seems usable (sans sound), so hopefully future speed improvements will help.

It have random crashes yes. Seems more often when running youtube clips. Which are almost usable. For normal browsing it works ok here i think.

The copy paste problem is present on the 3.5 version aswell if i remember right.

I can confirm the freeze after some time, but only if i either did a lot in the FF menus or installed add-ons (which seems to lack the "reboot to use" requester sometimes) but maybe it simply hogs the cpu dead after some time?

I can also confirm the c&p functiopnality missing (dang )

It is very useable so far here, but i would really need a working bookmark otherwise i have to switch back to OWB.

btw: bookmarks do work in some way.
I imported a bookmark.html from win ff and it seems it is used (amigans.net has the yellow filled star, which means it s bookmarked) but none of the pages ever show up in the bookmarks sidebar

Importing bookmarks from NetSurf seems to work too.
Export from NetSurf (Open hotlist, then Tree=>Export)
Import into Timberwolf (using Trevor's method above - note you have to type in the full path in UNIX-format, eg. /ram/tree_export.html, and then select the file again)
places.sqlite.journal looks like it is getting data, opening places.sqlite into NotePad I can see all my bookmarks, however Timberwolf still refuses to show any.

edit This was a fresh install of Timberwolf on a JXFS partition.

Effectively, work better with the cache update done (on the readme).

The main problem is the 100% CPU even on poor site page and when doing nothing on amigans site = allways 100%.

This port will become verry great when this High CPU usage forever will be resolved.

Thanks for the work on this beta version.

EDIT: this page is allways at 100%, when scrolling with the wheel or when doing nothing.
