Thanks for taken the feedback onboard.
I do have quick question if you know anything about AHI setting and if QEMU setting confit with it.
I got audio out, I have it set as SB128: HiFi 16bit stereo++ and can hear the test beeps.
I installed both AmigaAmp and TuneNet, both complain about AHi.device not being update, so I downloaded and installed the latest version, but still come up with the same error.
I never had to play around with this on my X1000 it all just worked. cheers.
I having fun time resetting up my system on this QEMU, so far no Gurus, which I'm kinda amazed by so far, even on my X1000 i would of had one by now. Just this AHI issue.
Thanks again for the work on the app

So got my QEMU AmigaOs4 setup done pretty much, need to install A-EON stuff, but otherwise, got to OS4.1update 3 level with the fastest version of iBowser working.
Thank you for this app, it likely I wouldnt be able to figure this out without it .
Suggestions for the Manual
You done a pretty good job of the step by step progress of install, I did get stuck on one bit, page 75, it says "To install software from the "Extras Installer" included in the OS ISO, first attach the ISO to the virtual system. For guidance on this, refer to the FAQ section."
Why do I have to go to the FAQ page, and lose my place in following the great, step by step guide, you can guess, I didnt make a note of what page I was up to when I had to find the guide in the FAQ, so please just duplicate the info in that section.
Also the guide was a bit vauge, it says
"Press CTRL+ALT+2 (Control+Option+2 on macOS) on your keyboard to open the monitor window. Type change cd <give here the path to your iso image> and press Enter."
but its not
change cd <C:/amigaos.iso>
its
change cd "c:/amigaos.iso"
for example if the amigaos iso was located on the c drive. this did catch me out, lucky I done a bit of coding and command lines, so thought it be quotation marks " and not arrow bracks <>
Also one other note, at Page 92 on doc, you should put a note about that you may get the APPDIR: device is missing error and this is fixed after the second AmigaOS update is applied. I know this is in the FAQ section, but if you following along again the step by step progress then the a user like me, might what to be reassure you not done anything wrong at that point.
Just some feedback. Great little app and great manual that so many devs overlook sometime

so unfortunately dont have full time to install and play around with this now until Wens when I'm next off work, but I had to have a quick go to see if this fix worked, and happy to report.... (it does say USBCtrl error, but like I say i dont really have time to set it up today, but just wanted to see if the fix worked it did!!! Thank You!) Quote: AmigaOS 4.1 version for QEmu, the AmigaOne version, doesn't seem to be available anywhere any more I know, the odd thing is I waited until Amiga Germany 40 to see if I could get a copy, I didnt see one for AmigaOne XE, only the Pegasos2 version that Hyperion said had sold out!? Which is odd, I saw about 7 copies for Pegasos2. So I bought one as it was 10 euro cheaper than buying from Hyperion. :)

@walkero So I got in the VM folder a folder named os4 config.json hd1.raw in the os4 folder i got config.json hd0.qcow2 kickstart.zip I opened the kickstart.zip it didnt have the silicomotion502.chip in it, so I added that. still no change. a read on https://zero.eik.bme.hu/~balaton/qemu/amiga/aos_pegasos2.htmlthat the PCIGraphics.card has to be updated from Finaleditionupdate2, so i drag that across to the kickstart.zip too, but no change This is why I was hoping Kyvos made it easier, thanks for all your help so far. I dont know what I done wrong. this is commands that sent to qemu and check files locations that everything there, should vga say none? Quote: C:\Program Files\qemu\qemu-system-ppc.exe -M pegasos2 -kernel "C:\Users\Vincent Perkins\.kyvos\bboot" -initrd E:\AmigaOS4\HD1\os4\kickstart.zip -rtc base=localtime -vga none -accel tcg -device rtl8139,addr=0x09,netdev=nic -netdev user,id=nic,hostname=os4 -device es1370,addr=0x08 -drive if=none,id=cd,file=E:\AmigaOS4\Pegasos2InstallCD-53.54.iso,format=raw -device ide-cd,drive=cd,bus=ide.1 -device sm501 -m 1024M -name os4 -display sdl,gl=on,show-cursor=off,full-screen=off -drive if=none,id=hd0,file=E:\AmigaOS4\HD1\os4\hd0.qcow2,format=qcow2 -device ide-hd,unit=0,drive=hd0,bus=ide.0 -serial stdio -pidfile "C:\Users\Vincent Perkins\.kyvos\kyvos.os4.pid"

I tried changing some display setting, nothing worked.

Thanks for reply, One other question have you tried qemu on pi5 hardware, and will this app be ported to Linux / arm? I saw this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7vDfZ4DR ... WVtdSBhbWlnYW9zNCBwaTU%3DAnd was surprised by the performance, not amazing, but better than expected. Plus likly to be even better on something like orange pi5 ultra or upcoming orange pi6.

Im thinking about finally giving AmigaOS4 emulation ago.
Two question, anyone know would my AmigaONE X1000 Os4 iso work?
if not, which is the best version of the OS/hardware to get/target, Sam460, Pegasus2, AmigaONE.
And where do you get the OS4 iso now, I only see the classic one available on Hyperion and far as I can see it sold out for all other platform.

(been ages since I visited and dropped by on this site!)
But any way I think too many think Emulation is the end of a platform, or the end of new hardware. I pointed this out on Amigaworld, but likely the two most successful Amiga hardware project in the last few years have been Emulation base.
A500 Mini and Pistorm.
I also heard they're maybe making a FPGA Pistorm, which sounds interesting.
I keep thinking what if instead of Emu68 the Pi emulated a PPC board, would a PistormPPC be possible?
If it was, Classic AmigaOs4 might have a second shot in the arm for development. an easy low cost upgrade to PPC for classic Amiga would be good to see.
Then also the above FPGA Pistorm would be even more interesting if the software was well developed so you could switch from a excellent emulated classic Amiga to AmigaOS4.1 in QEMU with ease, that would be really interesting hardware.
So I wish all the devs and work going into this best of luck, I know we would all like more new native hardware and faster development of AmigaOS4, but I think just acknowledge the limited resource the Amiga world has (which is not fault of anyone) is not a bad thing, it just what can be done to be most effective to limit work.
I mean another thing I love is Rabbit hole and how well it works on Amikit setup, on the Pi400, it kinda given that dream of kinda running a modern Amiga with access to modern thing like a web browser, to just double click Chrome icon on AmigaOs and have the browser load up and seem like it part of the Os is pretty good. These solutions I feel are clever ways around the problems. We're never going to be main stream without a crazy billionaire coming along (elon musk), but I do love people have developed way around the problems.

Yep I had this issue, I begin to think it just black magic sometimes as to weather you get a smooth working system or not, but i got the "Failed to load amigaboot.of: Insufficient memory" line a few times, I replace the sata cables to these https://www.amazon.co.uk/CORSAIR-Premi ... F&pd_rd_i=B07L687D8T&th=1and it seem to fix the issue, it so weird. I have 2 sticks and just 2Gb Ram that came with the system.

@daveyw Quote: I don't have any numbers but I suspect the X1000 userbase is larger. I dont know myself, most people who did get one seem to either left the scene or upgraded to the X5000. I mean it still a system that I think is better than any Eyetech AmigaOne system, and faster than Sam460 or upcoming A1222. But I feel within the OS4 community most of the focus has been on X5000 systems now. I mean this the fist major thread I seen discussing X1000 in a while, great to see, but I dont see many other people/users talk about the X1000.

Really interesting thread guys.
I never got usb to boot either, I know there can be issues with Sata connection too when reading from cd.
The x1000 /os4 always felt like a bit of a beta machine, not quite ready for end users. saying that it was always fun figuring out how to do things and getting things to work, I had quite a long period of a stable system, but for what ever reason the last few years I just got this random crashing, did a lot of software checking, replaced sata cable, ram, cmos battery, fan on the system, fresh install, etc. it kinda better, but it still crash every now and again, it really put me off using it now, as I don’t want my Amiga time to just be troubleshooting.
Hope you have better luck with yours and welcome to the x1000 club, I feel there very few of us left now, and even fewer that it’s there only/main os4 machine.

Agreed, although i haven't had to ask many questions, most of the problems I've had seem to have been answered before on forums and on website, just a quick google search and usually I find the solution, so these community sites have been a god send as with out them I would of had a much less happy Amiga experiences. So thanks guys.

I have to agree, at first getting the AmigaONE X1000 I thought I be more active in the Amiga community and on the forums more but actually its the opposite I had less time, because I'm just having fun on my new Amiga.
I had even less time recently with a lot happing in my "real" life so I still feel I'm only at the beginning of my journey with OS4. Still have'nt had time to install linux yet or try alot of other stuff on my Amiga. Such as life

Just thought it was time some one post a little review on the system, it more just thought of what i think of it so far, enjoy. https://docs.google.com/document/pub?i ... 7v873xaVcDpiPO3uthRRmjkdsPS: Might do a better and more in depth review later but thought it be unfair until I fully explore the system.

Nice Mod, but I think I like the way the boing looks on my white system being a little suttle and only make it out by the shadows, so glad they did engrave the boing ball it does look stunning.
