@MichaelMerkel?

My intention was, ask first in this forum before I write a bugreport. And now I know that it isn't a bug

I have however found that I my cookie database has become corrupted twice (possibly after a crash), so that I could not stay logged-in to AmigaWorld, until I deleted the cookie database

For people tryning to connect with site requiring logins/passwords, two importants things towith OWB 3.17 :

1? Delete the file named cookieCollection.db from the OWB drawer
2? Check that the tooltype COOKIEDB=cookieCollection.db is active

You can now launch OWB 3.17 and (I have no more problem of login on the sites I usually visit).

Checking to see if this is a real bug, or just something I'm doing wrong.

Since upping to 3.17, Display > HTML Document in YAM brings up OWB with this in the middle of the window:

Loading file:///RAM%20Disk:T/YAMm0000001c-p2..html failed.
Couldn't read a file:// file

Shouldn't be a YAM problem--I've stuck with 2.5 since it was finished, but until last week, HTML documents displayed just fine.

Bug #223 isn't completely fixed.
"OWB isn't able to submit an artfact on Sourceforge"

I just tried it with 3.17 and I was able to submit an item but OWB crashed first. One click on Continue Program made it add the artifact though. I could swear it didn't work at all yesterday (with a larger comment) but I might not had upgraded then...

I can confirm that it is always crashing first...

I missed the OWB 3.16 and it seems the updated curl-ca-bundle.crt it has is missing from OWB 3.17 - anyone knows where I can download the updated file?

Hmmm...you are right. Apparently it was not copied to the installation library when I unpacked the lha file in DOpus and copied the files over the 3.15 installation files

Got it now, thanks for your help

I have another question - any idea why 3.17 seems to load pages considerably slower than 3.15? For example, this site

Newspaper Kaleva

is loaded in 12 seconds with OWB 3.15 while OWB 3.17 takes 25 seconds to finish loading it. Even the default starting page ('about:') takes about 10 seconds to load with OWB 3.17 (in OWB 3.15 it is loaded in few seconds)

That advice ought to be a sticky banner item on the site!

For a long time I've had my own drawer in the System partition for storing docs from various utilities and programs. I had never even noticed that it now had a lot more info in it!

Unfortunately with this OWB screen self-resizing problem, the OWB window becomes EXTREMELY sluggish to move. Sometimes it simply doesn't respond to the attempt to move it. I think this problem went away for me back with 3.15. Maybe I should just go back to that for a while.

reagrding your site...

iirc there was a bug report for it on OS4Depot, not for this special site but another news site.
I think you suffer the same problem, a site that features an extreme amount of pictures and other stuff.

Not sure if there will be a solution, it's just bad site layout imho
