Re: AmigaOne X1000 2100MHz - some tests

@Thread
Mine is unstable at 2,1 GHz with AmigaOS 4.1 FE Update 3 and the Enhancer Software Pack 2.2.
All is ok at 2,0 GHz :)

@Deniil
The only problem I had was in 2020 : CR2032 battery (and when I tried to change it, the support broke, i had to replace it).
Changed and no problem at all since then.

@Maijestro
Thanks for all this work.
MT32 emulator is way too slow, even on my X1000 at 2 Ghz (it used to be ok with former versions of the soft).
I could not find how to use MiDi (Timidity), there is no option allowing to use it.
Could you also implement FluidSynth ?

@kas1e
I do make some hardware resets (sometimes two in a row) when I have a Grim Reaper or when pushing the button: every time the ethernet is on after the reboot.

On my X1000, everytime I turn it on, the ethernet goes on.
I have never encountered any case where it doesn't start (I never use warm boot since I'm using an RX 560).

@nbache
Thanks! It's ok, I cross-read many documents to understand what to do.
I have now an X1000 clocked at 2 Ghz (2,1 Ghz is unstable here) with my RX 560.
We will have to send some money to Kas1e for all the work :)

@kas1e I will try but I haven't got any serial cable for the X1000 (AmigaKit seems to sell one which can connect to tne internal serial port). @NBache Where do you type these lines? Quote: SPEED=set pmu -astate=a0; set astate 4 -speed=1800; set pmu -astate=a4 SPEED2=set pmu -astate=a0; set astate 4 -speed=2000; set pmu -astate=a4 STARTUP=SPEED2; menu I tried to enter them like this with CFE command line and I only get: "invalid command SPEED"

I changed it wih the CFE command line when I installed my Radon RX card. But now I can't access it since it reboots after the "Exception message" even after having hit CTRL C multiple times.
My command line is : setenv -p STARTUP 'speed ; setenv os4_bootdevice "auto" ; boot -fs=amigafs ide0.0:amigaboot.of'

Thanks.
I will try all this (find a serial cable, find a computer with serial port, use PUTTY and so on) and try to make everything working.

Thanks.
So my X1000 has a problem. When entering CFE command line, it crashes and reboots after 3 or sometimes 6 seconds (I can see a really fast message with the word "exception" in it).
I have to rule out this problem if I want to test anything.

@kas1e
Just to be clear: everything MUST be done via serial and not from the CFE command line?
So no need to remove the RX560?
Unfortunately everything is not yet understandable of what we must do.
Everyone here has used serial to use the patches?
To go further: just the speed setting must be done via serial too?
Is there something modified to explain why my CFE command line crashes (it should not be the case since I haven't loaded anything)?

Ok,
I won't be able to test anything.
Removed the RX560, reinstalled the R7 250 and reverted the GPIOLV10 to its original state.
Whenever I access the CFE command line it crashes with an exception. I don't even have time to type anyhing.
I removed everything (old RT8139 card and SATA SII3114 card) and CFE command line still crashes (if I hold the statup menu with the space bar: no crash. It crashes only on the CFE command line).
If I let AmigaOS 4.1 start : no problem at all, all working flawlessly.
So for the moment, I'm stuck without any idea of why the CFE command line produces an exception within a few seconds and crashes.
I tried 4 different keyboards (without the mouse connected nor the network).
I even changed the CR2032 battery.

@kas1e Thankl for all this. But to be frank, I do not quite understand what we must do. Where do we post all these lines? In a serial terminal? I think, when I have time and I have tested everything that is written in this thread, that I will have to write a step by step procedure because at the moment, I don't really know what we have to do. Even with the GPIOLV10, we do not understand what we must do

@kas1e Quote: So i can made a5 and a6 vars to work from set pmu and by default set 1900 and 2000, what you think ? Since we know that 2000 Mhz work flawlessly, it would better to have : a5 = 2000Mhz a6 = 2100Mhz For those who have an X1000 supporting 2,1Ghz in AmigaOS 4.1, they can use a6 and the other stick with a5 at 2Ghz. What do you think?
