Just popping in

I'm using DOpus time to time. Also on Icoaros I switched to Wanderer.
The main reason is the number of buttons available for which I do not know the behavior. Then before doing irreversible actions I don't use them.

Would be great to have a tool tip bobble message. Would be too difficult to implement this?

Click to front doesn’t work with magellan.
It annoys the crap out of me.
I am using the 68k version and i want to double click listers to bring them to front… is there any commodiry that does this and works with dopus magellan? If not, maybe build it into magellan itself?

Works with single click too, peeerfect!

Hello!

I'm not sure whether I remember right or not: Wasn't there some kind of tool to convert an existing Dopus4 configuration into a Dopus 5 config? Any ideas where to look/search?

Yes, this would be fine: To open the archive inside the SRC lister (and not in a new one...). I would have the same question regarding the ftp.module: I would like to open the FTP content in the current SRC lister. not in a new one...

May be one of the porters and devs know how to do that?

The OS4 version seems to be the only one working well with the two added widgets, is it due AmigaOS4 or Dopus 5 build?

When extracting files the protection flaga are still always set to rwed for all files. Will that be fixed?

Not bad :) Maybe you can deal also with all other todo/suggestions/bugs in ?:) Sure it all probably os4 only for now, but who care in today age, better os4 at least than nothing ..

A great improvement for me would be to have a tip description over the buttons on the bar. I never use them because I can't determine the functionality from the icon picture

Yeah that one was the one of first i want to implement back in past, together with all others from this list: https://sourceforge.net/p/dopus5allamigas/featurerequests/. But most of them wasnt trivial for humans :)

Some feature requests in the list even not worth of worry, some are simple wrong, but at least those ones like:


28    Add bubble helps for buttons and some other places    

26    Support for 24bit PNG images in graphic button menus

16    If possible rework requesters to make them resizable

2    Better coloring of lister: add 2 backgrounds instead of one (to make it looks modern, like filer on os4 and ambient on mos)

Surely pretty worth, but hardest ones to implement. For example for 26 there imho no needs to have exactly PNG images, because we don't need there another library dep, but some raw-format , but those are details..

Free memory in KB/MB (#29) - Status bar shows human-readable memory (e.g. 512M free)

Full path in lister title (#21) - New option in Lister Options to show complete path

Lister Options crash fix - Missing CatCompBlock entry for Full Path string caused DSI in L_GetString

Escape key fix - OS4 BOOPSI strgclass swallows Escape entirely; intercepted in dopusstrgclass GM_HANDLEINPUT
