@ChrisH
I got prboom plus that use software-mode only (or as default) while the port from hunoppc defaults to using opengl. Prboom plus is newer.

@Rolar
One thing that I can say is that appart from the known issues it's stable and I haven't had any issues.
One thing that I wonder about is something that happens with wayfarer too on some sites, that isn't a bug but it loads quickly, halts and sits there with 100% CPU-usage for quite some time (on some rare occation I waited for like 30 min and gave up) and I've seen that happen with some site here too but these aren't bugs so yeah, only bugs are the reported ones. It's really stable and works as expected, which must be considered being a very good thing.

@AMIGASYSTEM
What I meant is that Wayfarer under MOS doesn't seem to go anywhere near the 2GB barrier so it doesn't seem to be as RAM-hungry.
That is with 3-tabs open.
Wondering if it really has changed that much since Odyssey 1.23 since Wayfarer seems to consume the same amount.

Or am I insulting developers now making it sound like some are better than others or something? Not my intention.
I COULD set up a VM and install a linux-distro or two and investigate and argue and what not. But wouldn't it be more interesting to know why it isn't a requirement under MOS then since it's very similar to AOS?
Also A600GS, only the GUI and a little bit of conv-code runs under emulation. The remaining 3GB RAM is for Linux and software running there from what I understand.
Under Linux there are SWAP-partitions as well... forget about that at the moment. The difference between wayfarer and odyssey then it seems.

Also, selling machines with 4GB RAM fitted, available to use 2GB let's call it freely and then *BAM* must have at least 6GB to use the most important software there is pretty much making every NG Amiga obsolete...
Why does it need 6GB of RAM under AROS 64 bit when wayfarer doesn't would perhaps be more interesting? It is VERY up to date and modern.

@joerg
Device running modern webbrowsers not requiering huge amount of RAM was the point here. So just my powermac then and MOS under QEMU. Done lots of browsing there and don't even have 2GB of RAM and it never runs out. With max cache on harddisks using up RAM as well.
Thought was that if it's true that it requires that much RAM it would be true everywhere regardless of device and OS and that doesn't seem to be the case.
Google Chrome run on linux pretty much so the RAM available for Linux is as much as it gets so 3GB then.
Now I'm not the time that have 20 tabs with heavy sites open but running out of RAM isn't something that I have experienced under MOS at least.
It all sounds a bit hypothetical. A bit "in windows, in windows, in windows". It's a whole different OS to begin with.
Also Odyssey, you can browse on the Wii, has mem-requirements gone up that drastically and what needs it?
Maybe ask why Wayfarer doesn't require that much RAM then.

So how much RAM does the A600GS got?
My PowerMac with MOS got less than 2GB.

@Elwood
This sounds exactly like something a David Prosén would say and the rest of those creatures.
I don't know what their problem is but they love to "try and figure out what those retards are doing with an outdated system when they can have.......".
After deciding to kill the Amiga. They live in their fantasy and are always saying the exact same things.
I think it's like some kind of retarded bullying for destroying the Amiga and Commodore. They feed off playing these games of being superiour. Which they're not or they wouldn't have to kill the competition.
Also by writing these things they know that it will trigger me to reply and they can be like "look he's crazy" or even "look it isn't he who wrote as everyone can see, he's crazy" etc etc etc...
So like with every line of text, every word that comes out of their mouths, it's a waste of everyones time and energy.
They are bullies. That's what they do. They try to bully without anyone but me noticing it so they can bully some more and some more and.......

A certain kind of creatures love to take on the role of lawyer or whatever and keep the flame burning for as long as possible just to waste time and energy better spent on something else.
They love to take a topic like this and nitpic it into atoms over and over a billion times untill everyone have nightmares as soon as they hear the name of the game.
Be careful not to feed them fuel because they don't care about arguments going anywhere, just that they keep on going so they can feel powerful like "I made them do what I wanted for nothing".
Have seen that happen a billion times. Also when someone with power steps in like say Trevor and crush their arguments they just get quiet and start over with something else at a later point.

Oh there's also this site with a frog for people with old browsers that works in IBrowse.
Jumps around randomly without a goal. Just like certain individuals that I know of.
Bullies forever.
Oh their plan was to switch place with me. They should become me and I should become them. Because that's not insanity.
Just saying...

@K-L
I described what I did and it's real easy. I think that it would actually be easy if RetroArch just installed and you had to do it manually (which would be to extract one file).
Anyhow, as always i provide info in case that it would be helpful to someone and as usual some people think that it's only for them and also they assume what I've written instead of actually reading what I've written and these kinds of problems only happen with a certain type of people. Others are like "right, good info" or something similar. And a snorky comment doesn't get funny because of a smiley, it only makes it dumber IMO.

The way I did it was to download from archive.org all systemfiles needed. All the BIOS:es. So when you install you answer "no" to those questions.
Then it looks for ROMS in PROGDIR:roms as default (you can choose other locations) so what you do there is create a dir for each system that interest you. For a start you can create GBA for example for game boy advance.
Exctract the systemfiles into system after installation. Get a ROM to try it out and that's it.
IF you don't get stuck during installation, I don't know what that's about though.

@smarkusg
Yeay!!!!!!! It's been missing for so long, thank you so much!
I'd like to say that I think that there is absolutely room for both standalone and retroarch. On my verious units I have both. Sometimes it's convenient to use retroarch but sometimes you just want to use one emulator directly. I've paid to support retroarch since I think that it's absolutely great. Anyhow this emulator has been really missing for so long, you go looking and kinda expects it to be there because it's available on everything and it's missing (not on MOS) so it's awsome to finally have a version for AOS as well.
