After many user requests, a new modern web browser has been developed by Amiga Kit. This new browser runs on AmiBench and offers the most advanced Classic browsing experience to date.
AmiBrowser is an HTML 5 capable web browser built for 68K with Zune/MUI. It uses ARM libraries to power the native rendering of the web pages.
Matthew Leaman, Managing Director of AmigaKit Ltd remarked: “We are pleased that after many weeks of development work we can shortly offer this ground breaking application for the A600 GS and the A1200 NG user base. This has been the most requested application and we are excited to continue our commitment to delivering regular product updates.”
The A600 GS and the A1200 NG computer systems are now available to purchase from AmigaKit.com
Additional Information about the A600 GS and the A1200 NG can be found on these websites:
Thats a interesting solution to the security problem, now encryptions and API’s are on safe platform, while the user interface is where we want it. (Only security hole left is key logging), any second factor authentication page, should pretty safe with this solution.

Not seen any videos of it running so far. It has not been released yet, but should be available for download soon (according to AmigaKit). I have an A1200NG, so will give this a try when it becomes available.
Not unless someone ports AmigaOS to be hosted on top of Linux. This isn't exactly an actual Amiga browser. Underneath is Chromium running on Linux on ARM.

Still, for their platform which can do this - it is an absolutely valid solution. From the pure look it looks like an Amiga app, even if something else is below ^^
Myselves I would still prefer a solution running on AmigaOS 4 ^^ (and on OS4 machines something on OS3.2 or Amikit).
Yeh.. I know, I’m trying to improve EUAE.. for now, I’m working on native mpga.library backend. and I’m trying to get AHI support working. a lot is done. if you want to help that be cool.

I don't think it's misleading. After all the GUI is an AROS program. It's a great option since these platforms are ARM-based Linux running AROS and 68K emulation. The AROS bit is the GUI and the actual browser bit is Linux Chromium. So it's not an option for AmigaOS systems (either 68K or PPC), but it's a wonderful addition for the A600GS/A1200NG products.

This is not an AROS program. It is a 68K / 3.x MUI application.
A bit more detail:
- the browser is tightly integrated to AmiBench - Layout engine is handled by ARM library - Input is handled by the 68K app - it is responding to real intuition events and no kind of overlay - File Downloads are to be added- the 68K app functions need to be written - Bookmarks are to be added too (68K app functions) - Some speed enhancements have been rewritten in ARM assembly language such as BGRA to RGBA conversion.
Initial preview release will be in August. There are many more updates to the 68K application side to be done in September and pushed out to users. This will be a larger project to complement AmiBench.

It's really cool that you're still working on E-UAE. I thought you had given up on it by now, even though E-UAE has made so much progress with version 1.1.1.

Thanks for this news and update. This looks like a nice addition for the A600 GS and the A1200 NG user base.
I was going to ask if you intended to make AmiBrowser available for other systems, but I now see it is "tightly integrated to AmiBench" and the "Layout engine is handled by ARM library".
I wonder if something similar could be done in OS4 by using additional hardware, plugged into a pci slot. SOmething like a rasberry pi. It could handle all the hardwark and feed it back to OS4 to display and interact with.
Probably a lot harder than I think, but just a though of how we could utilize more modern hardware to keep our machines going.
@livebyfaith74 I told same in last years: we cant cope with the speed of web progress as modern world did, and we never will. Instead some sort of hardware dongle with any cpu and any custom unix on to just run browsers core, and native os4 gui in os4 + api to talk with coe can looks and feels pretty native because of native gui and be speedy enough, have no limitation as core will works on any other cpu with jit snd stuff. Same as they did now, with webkit or chromium core probably
That was what I was thinking as well. We will never have the resources to keep a web browser updated and useful on our aging hardware. But with this method we could take advantage of the work of others on other platforms and just build the integration into OS4. Plus we could continue to upgrade the hardware needed to process the websites apart from our dependence on PPC hardware.
