Some funny thing, I am still stuck at v2.35 and no update is offered? How to update this amiupdate?

Edit: Got it, seems www.amiupdate.net does not work here, I changed to amiupdate.codebench.co.uk and now all updates are available.

The update.library is now 1MB in size, and the main exe is 2MB. Forgot to strip them before release I guess?

Anyway, thanks a lot for the update!

Getting a bit low on Ram? :P

Truth is, I wasn't convinced it was fixed, so I thought it better to let the unstripped versions go out just in case.

I'll strip them both next time.

Hi,

I've done the french translation using the last ct and cd files from the site, but some fields (and info bubbles) in preferences program seems to be hard coded. Is anybody else using foreign language have the same thing with preferences program.

On my system I have installed version 2.39, and doesn't ask me for an update, although I have www.amiupdate.net at the server list and it is active.

Is there a way to force the update?

at au.log I see

No they are not hardcoded, only you need the latest .cd files, but they are included inside the 2.46/2.47 update archives
So first download the update, then pick the new files you need

I must admit, I thought I had finally cracked the problem with the amiupdate.net domain, but it appears not.

In the meantime, use http://amiupdate.codebench.co.uk as the server, and it should all work fine.

2.47 version is only available from amiupdate.net which is unreachable.

Could you also post the archive on amidupdate.codebench.co.uk ?

I thought it was the same site under those two addresses.

Are you sure you don't just need to refresh the browser?

Ah yes you are right ...

Aniway as i'm here can i ask you a minor modification in amiupdate.cd ?
Actually in amiupdate.cd there is this string:

Quote:
A %s-reset is required before running the new version of AmiUpdate.\n\n\33c\33bThe reboot will happen after pressing %s.

The interesting part is that ".. pressing %s." contains this "%s" that in reality is merely an "OK" string ..

That's fine, however elsewhere as i changed the "OK" to be a pressable button like this: "_OK"
Now everyime that specific requester will be opened, i have the ok string passed in the requester as an "_ok" ... that of course is wrong !

So, here the request: can you add in amiupdate.cd another "OK" specific string ONLY for that variable a let the current "OK" string only for pressable buttons ?

@samo79

If that is the case, is there any point in making it a variable at all? The whole string will be localised anyway.

If so, then the change can be made in the catalog, no other changes will be needed. Just replace the %s with "OK" in the target language.
