To be honest I never liked Finalwriter, it never seemed 'amiga like' more windozy to me Me neither, it had a bit of a custom-looking interface which put me off. I'm willing to convert though, this is excellent news!

@ChrisH
As I discovered with my Epson Expression Home XP-302, it works flawlessly with MorphOS (under USB Poseidon Stack) and Turboprint settings of old EpsonC84.
Here is the thread in which I announced it:
http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/v ... _id=38957&forum=46#732969 Someone with AmigaOS 4.X, native stack and CD version of Turboprint should made tests with modern Epson printers and check if they work.

@Chris
Agreed. A GUI overhaul with AISS support, menus rearranged eg. all settings in one place instead of 5 separate menu entries, colour problems sorted out on 16/32 bit screens etc. although final writer purists will lynch me for suggesting it
Amiga user since 1985 AOS4, A-EON, IBrowse & Alinea Betatester Ps. I hate the new amigans website. <shudder>

@terminills This is AWESOME news. I had given up hope that this would happen. Final Writer is by far the program I use most on the Amiga (both my A4000T and now my Sam460ex). I've written about two and half science fiction novels in Final Writer (~250,000 words). Generally, I prefer writing in Final Writer on an Amiga. I find there's fewer distractions and I feel more inspired. I'd love to help you any way I can, whether it's financial, beta testing, or suggestions for tweaks/improvements. Even though I know a new version is a long ways off, this feels like Christmas come early for me. Are there going to be any legal issues with the Dictionary/Thesaurus? I hope not as Final Writer's Thesaurus is WAY better than Word's.

I use Final Writer 97 as my main word processor program. Quite often I use a nice little script to save my document as a pdf file. I don't remember the name of the script (my system is packed in boxes at the moment). I have also tried a few versions of Cinnimon Writer. --- redfox

@terminills Do you think to have early buyers, who can use early builds and betatest them? If yes, then I am interested on that.

@walkero Considering all the scams in the Amiga's history I doubt I will have any prebuys.

@terminills I'd be happy to buy a working* OS4 compile straight away in order to show support - especially if a few updates were included. * working as in Working, not as in Pagestream 5 working

I cannot sem to find anyone who sells Wordworth 7. Not even 2nd hand copies, only very early versions. I have 5SE edition. Amiga Writer is available from Alinea but thats it.

@trixie Indeed. I got so annoyed I even abandoned PGS4 and went back to a very old copy of ProPage.
