MAXMEM hasn't been changed from my A4000 days when I had 128MB on my CyberStorm as well as 16mb onboard. roughly 120mb seems to work fine for me on my X1000.

Are you using the strength and mode settings properly?

stength = opacity - 0 to 100

mode iis more complicted, you cn use 17 different options...

matte, color, impressionist, multiply, screen, difference, lighten, darken, hue, saturation, huesat, luminance, smooth, blur, sharpen1, sharpen2 and stencil

eg.

TEXT 50,50,FONT "dejavu sans.font", SIZE 24,PLAIN, MODE MATTE, STRENGTH 75,"Testing, Testing, Testing."

Just a silly idea, but things have changed since I last posted in this thread...


Open Input prefs and toggle the "swap alt/amiga keys" option.

Simples

Dopus5 puts an optional arrow on left out files so the info you're looking for will be in the source (if you can find it )

use something like http://aminet.net/package/util/wb/ProcessIcon and the list command or set up a dopus button.

eg.

list "" pat=#?.info lformat="processicon %P%N SDT *"NewTool*"" to pipe: | execute pipe:

or use 'to ram:script' so you can check it before running it.

Another method if they're all the same new tool is to create or mdify a def_icon and delete the current icons.

I'm using the latest beta.

As it seems to be all versions for you then there's not much point testing all here. I suspect it's a memory alignment problem with pre existing rubbish filling the rest of the 64 bits (probably) alotted space when only 32 have been written or the over enthusiastic memcopy routines on the X5000.

Tried here on my X1000 and no problems after around 20 tests using a 128GB FAT formatted USB Stick.

Use a tool icon, select 'start from shell' and turn off prompt for input.

IIRC IconX is just for backwards compatability.

To remove the alpha channel transparancy.

Forbid() and permit() are evil, do not use them unless absolutly required and keep any code between them as short as possible.

If anyone remembers XStream the proposed AHI replacement, that was eventually abandoned due to the amount of forbid()/permit() calls being used system wide which caused XStream to stutter and click. Since then a lot of work has been done to remove them from OS4.

So basically you have to use them for OS3 but can usually avoid them for OS4 unless specificly told to use them eg. getting a list on currently open screens or windows where something opening or closing a screen or window in mid scan would cause havoc.

I did manage to get the files myself though, I dug out an old android set top box and after a factory reset had just enough space to download the files. I then used an ftp server on the box to transfer them to my X1000.

The intro video is much better now, with the earlier releases I got slow video and echos.

I still have the keyboard problem though. I've even tried to unplug & replug and if I get a message saying there was a usb problem and device adding was aborted I get 1 keypress and then that key is forever on. If I dont get an error message the keyboard does nothing.

My keyboard is one of those apple aluminium things with the built in (so low power it's useless) hub. I will try a different keyboard over the weekend if I get time.

it Seems playable at 1024x768 (20-25fps) but is far to slow at 1920x1080 (6-9fps). I'm still waiting for a rom update to be able to use my far better RX card.

I can't download the hd paks at all, ibrowse does nothing, netsurf gives dsi/isi and dies, odyssey just pops up and add to install their app as whatever browser I spoof as doesn't have a big enough buffer for decryption and should use chrome, spoofing as chrome says chrome doesn't have a big enough buffer etc.

I don't have a PC or MAC, not even a phone with enough space to download the files :(

Look at my list above, it's sort of working for me with those paks. I'm off to rename sp_pak4.pk3 to see if that fixes the keyboard problem.

No difference, still have a dead keyboard.

Tried it on my X1000 it runs ok but kills the keyboard. mouse still works, I can look round the cell, stab and jump but can't move, even ctrl-amiga-amiga is dead.
