This is AWESOME news. I had given up hope that this would happen. Final Writer is by far the program I use most on the Amiga (both my A4000T and now my Sam460ex). I've written about two and half science fiction novels in Final Writer (~250,000 words). Generally, I prefer writing in Final Writer on an Amiga. I find there's fewer distractions and I feel more inspired.

I'd love to help you any way I can, whether it's financial, beta testing, or suggestions for tweaks/improvements. Even though I know a new version is a long ways off, this feels like Christmas come early for me.

Are there going to be any legal issues with the Dictionary/Thesaurus? I hope not as Final Writer's Thesaurus is WAY better than Word's.

You could also use Dropbox.

Edit: You could also throw the files onto a MicroSD card and then plug the card into the Amiga.

After some extensive testing with my button-bank issue, I've discovered that I only get a DSI when I try to load a button-bank that has the drag border set to the "Right" or "Bottom" of the bank. "Top", "Left", "Automatic" and "None" do NOT result in a DSI.

For PersonalPaint I think you need to put the image into a brush and then save the brush as an ilbm

Thank you everyone who helped resolved the issue that was preventing Magellan from working on OS4. It is FANTASTIC to finally be able to use this great piece of software again. I've been missing it ever since I bought my Sam460.

Double-clicking on the background to bring up a lister works for me. So far I have found almost everything works as it should, ignoring minor glitches (window resizing not looking very clean, text in titlebar not very nice, etc). Occasionally, I'll bring up a lister, click on a device and get an invisible listing. I can still select the lister's content and perform actions on the items, I just can't see the actual list of files.

So far the only real issues I have had is with button-banks. Everytime I load a button-bank I get a DSI but they're ignorable and the button-bank still works afterward. However, using a "Workbench" function for a button doesn't seem to work; I have to use an "AmigaDOS" function instead. The other oddity is that, if I try to create a "new" button-bank, it starts me with 11878 Columns and 28526 Rows, which I cannot change. Previously saved button-banks can be edited without problems, however.
