NG Amiga user questionnaire

Hello,

I've composed a poll for all next generation Amiga users to find out what you use your Amiga for or what you'd like to use it for.

The purpose of the poll is not only to find out what an average Amiga user does with his/her Amiga but also find out which applications are the most wanted ones.

Well, what can I say. Amiga browsers can't display modern web sites correctly. I still hope that you'll find a way to participate in the poll.

I wonder about the Polls functionality of Amigans. There's
the link there and a few old polls. Don't know how or if
they work. Presumably they are Amiga friendly/usable?

I had no problem with using Chrome. Perhaps you retards need to realise that Amiga browsers are just to old....

IMHO you should have chosen a better service which is compatible with AmigaNG browsers, as this poll was addressed to AmigaNG users. There is nothing special in this kind of simple 'tick-select' pages what Odyssey could not handle, if the javascript code is kept backwads compatible. A good example is the settings pages of modems/routers which are basically similar and still in most cases usable with Odyssey (e.g. my Sagemcom modem which is still on the market can be fully controlled with Odyssey).

I am really sick of websites 'upgrading' from useable to not working sites. I wish these people would test their sites on all browsers anbd not just slap an upgrade your browser page on which we of course cannot do.

Perhaps the retards who do Amiga polls ought to realise that people will most likely be wanting to use an Amiga bro9wser to acces it. As far as I know Chrome does not run on OS4 !

thanks for the survey..like I mentioned over at AW I think it would be more beneficial to ask users what they are using now and what they would hope to use in the future if made available.

Thanks for your input. It's someone elses turn to make a more precise poll or polls.

The poll I created answered to all my questions and more. I hope the other developers find the poll results useful too and we'll see new/better AmigaOS4 and MorphOS applications in the future.

There are certainly big gaps in the NG Amiga application selection, like a modern web browser for AOS4, but also smaller gaps that can be filled.

Here is a summary of the results for the poll that asked what the NG Amiga users would use their Amigas for if there was no lack of available software.




In the poll it was possible to vote for a self-defined Amiga use (the Other field) instead of or in addition to the listed options. In the summary nearly all those votes have been associated with the original poll options.

To me the summary is a little bit 'overcrowded'...Sometimes less is more...Concentrating on the top ten and then using clear colours.
But thanks for the survey which of course I also participated in. To me the most important applications are a up-to-date browser and an office program. Then I would use my X5000 even more often.

Interesting but may be skewed as people that use OS4 for everything such as myself could not take part in a poll that will not run on Amiga browsers. Next time meake sure you test it out with Odyssey first.

No point really in having polls Amiga users cannot access.
