Can anyone here recall a better month for the Amiga Platform than this one?

We have had...

Announcement of the Amiga X1000. In itself Fantastic.
Amiga OS4 Update 1 - Which is amazing!
Blender - Which has been eagerly awaited in many quarters.

And the month is not over yet? What next?

Phew!!!

An alpha (maybe) from Timberwolf

2010 has to be great!
07 to 09 were by far the most unpleasent years in my personal history and i hope that 2010 will keep what January promises, in terms of my hobby and my life

Fingers crossed

I came back to Amiga last September and bought some Amiga Future back issues, so I must say that 2009 Amiga-wise was quite terrific (OS4.1 releases for several systems, SamFlex hardware, many great announcements such as OS4.1 update one, Timberwolf etc. and the lawsuit settlement!) .

And...if the beginning of 2010 is any indication...

My experience mirrors yours. 07-09 were absolutely the lowest of my life, during that time my Amiga was my general relief, although things didn't look good on that front but I did buy 2 x SAM Flex.

2010 has started so differently both on the personal and Amiga fronts apart from me not being able to download the update as yet! -:)

Never mind, I don't return to work until next Wednesday, I should have it by then.

I guess the demand on the Hyperion server gives an inkling of the ongoing revival.

yep great times indeed for Amigans!....it all started in 2009 for me when I saw Hyperion and ACube were pushing forward with AmigaOS and new hardware even with that damn court case over their heads! I had the confidence to buy my first new Amiga system with OS4.1 having trust that Amiga was going to be in good hands and WOW the joy when the court case was over !!! The new year has brought the X1000, the long awaited Update to bring OS4.1 out of beta, Blender so far and I anxiously await TimberWolf and hopefully an OpenOffice port too

WOW good times ahead indeed
