Wings is fondly remembered in Amiga circles and Cinemaware are hoping to bring it back in modern guise.
Wings: remastered AmigaOS even gets a mention

Nice, too bad that a linux version is so far down the list.

@orgin
The Mac version (with Linux & Amiga ports allowed) is "only" $10k more (at $95k stretch goal), so they might even manage that.

@amigacooke I failed to see what's the difference between this project and the previous one...

@Elwood The previous one was cancelled due to different reasons

It's not far from its goal actually.
Too bad it will be done with Unity

Re: Wings: remastered
@Elwood If it's done in Unity i wonder how they will promote an AmigaOS port? But maybe they'll just collect the money, give the sources and not care about the rest

@ChrisH
Seems like it

The game will be developed for the PC, Android and iOS, with the option of Mac, Linxus, AmigaOS, OUYA, and PSN/PS4 versions as stretch goals (we will also make the project available for porting to Linux and AmigaOS!)

But what sources? I don't think there are Unity sources. Maybe they talk about the 68k sources? With 68k sources and the new data (graphics and all), we may be able to code an AmigaOS version...

@utri007 Unity is a proprietary closed source engine. It couldn't be ported even if it was open source without programmable shaders.
This is just like television, only you can see much further.

Definitely going to hit the target and probably going to hit the Mac version (and Amiga source material) stretch goal.
