Some of you may have seen posts in other Amiga forums, but didn't want to leave this portion of webspace out just in case somebody had anything to add.
I have enjoyed the Big Bashes that have been organised by the Amiga guys in Peterborough and wish there could be more, but somehow doubt there will be.
In their place I am looking to hold a similar sized event in the Midlands (Coventry) which is quite a central location and should be fairly easy to get to being just off the M6 and not far away from the M1 etc
I am looking to hold the event at the end of Oct / beginning November and wondered who would be interested in attending?
I am trying to persuade as many people as possible to pledge their commitment to the meeting at our usergroups website http://midlandamigagroup.info This information will then be presented to various interested exhibitors and should be enough to persuade them to travel over to the UK.
I look forward to hearing from anybody and welcome any suggestions.
A lot of people are dying for an Amiga Gathering, however, my standpoint is that there is absolutely no point in organising a get together until we are at a point when we can get a dealer or two to turn up and sell OS4.x and hardware to go with it.
There's nothing new to see otherwise.
EDIT: Moved To a different Forum, it was in "Free For all" which cannot be seen by members and non members unless set in Settings.

No cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it.
thanks for all the positives. We've had some interest from companies offering their support.
Amigakit is going to make it over and set up shop to sell 4.1 along with a host of others.
Firstly, to persuade the exhibitor I need to bring in large numbers of people. It's kind of 'chicken or egg' situation so I have set up a pledge page on the MAG website. It's a way to show big companies that it's worth attending. If you want to attract big names to the show please go over and pledge your attendance!
I am still trying to set the date. With any luck it should be the first weekend in November. Fingers crossed.
