Hi,

Is it possible to configure Codebench to work with GitHub?

Other recommendations welcome.

Hi,I don't have the answer but another question.

Is it possible to register Codebench?

This years old 10 seconds demo timer on every launch is boring and kills productivity. I asked devs but still wait an answer...

Indeed, it will help a lot if you remove that 10 sec limit in some other version, as seems you will never make it as soldable app which we can register :) (sadly)

Currently, CodeBench only has plugins to work with CVS and SVN. If you wanted to write a GitHub plugin, I'm sure we can arrange for you to gain access to the materials required to do that.

Quite frankly, I thought you might have written to the CodeBench forums with an enquiry such as this, or even on the internal beta lists.

But I'm replying in public, as you requested...

Thanks Rigo.

I must hold my hands up, I completely forgot about the dedicated forum.

Seriously, will Codebench be available for purchase any time soon? I'm quite sure many devs would not only want to get rid of the delayed startup but also pay you for your hard work.

And he has done an awful lot of hard work, to great effect.

He's a bit of a perfectionist I think...

I would pay if it was available.

Maybe he just doesn't want the pressure of having to maintain an "official" release. A perpetual beta doesn't have as high expectations from users.

At the moment most things involved with OS4/OS3 are labours of love anyways. I don't think anyone is going to get rich any time soon. But it would be nice to seem *some* sort of cash/loot get in the hands of the deserving. :)

I don't know how reliable it is, but github does support svn. So perhaps you could use it with CodeBench's svn plugin.

Of course, a github plugin would be nicer.

@Rigo
You've got several people asking you when they can give you money for CodeBench. Time for an "official" release, I think.
