Warp3D SI : The fastest card

actually tried Torx, FreeSpace2 & SuperTuxkart get same error but here sound ok in background. Switch back to WB and all is fine everything was fine with my 6870...for some reason now screen modes aren't supported?

ok for SuperTuxkart changed screen mode in prefs and all is good. Gameplay is fluid and getting up to 25fps. Other games can't find prefs or where to change screen mode.'

Im so happy i have warp3d not having to think about when does the drivers come. Ok i dont play much games but its good i can try out warp3d stuff whatever it is, apps, games, demos etc and they look like they should and fast :) Fired up some HunoPPC games and they all played fine.

Just had to say it again. I hope the evergreen drivers comes not too far away.

Yes. It's nice that things works. Let's hope other cards get supported soon aswell.

Checked a web shop the other day. Seems like AMD has started with 300 series R cards now. Let's hope they have the 200 series a bit longer. Or pray that Hans fixes support for them aswell. :-p

With radeonhd 2.10 and latest warp3d. Running on x1000 and sapphire dual-x r9 270x.
Ioquake3 = 73.4fps
Cow3d = 186fps( with b 194/5fps)

Is anyone using XFX R7-250E-ZNP4 Radeon R7 250E 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Support 3 Monitors Video Card in a SAM460ex?

If so, does it interfere with the SATA card?

Thanks for the links. The thing is that the Club 3D cards are not available in the U.S. and those stores in EU don{t ship here, and if they did, they charge like Euros 70 for a small box.

I wanted to say that "your" ' XFX R7-250E-ZNP4' looks very similar to the 'Club3D R7 250E (CGAX-R7252L)', so maybe it works fine on your sam460

I can officially report that for some unknown reasons, the VisionTek Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 (P/N 900549) is not compatible with all SAM460ex. Probably not all the mobo versions are the same.

But on the other hand, this XFX R7-250E-ZNP4 Radeon R7 250E 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 (P/N R7 250E-ZNP4), Cape Verde chip set, WORKS!!!! and it is cheaper than the VisionTek HD7750 at Newegg.com

Hello dear Amigans.

After testing my new Sapphire Radeon R9 280X TOXIC
(!!!fastest 280X around!!!) in a PC to be 100% sure it runs
I today decided to put it in my X1000. It was quite a struggle
to fit this massive Beast in the Fractal R3 case but I managed it.

I can confirm this card as compatible with the latest 2D/3D SI drivers.

Now here are some speed tests I've done:

Cow3D

176-178 fps // 187 fps with "B" pressed

IOQuake3 by HunoPPC
(Settings: everything maxed !!! / timedemo1 demo4)

1280 x 1024 = 94.7 fps
1600 x 1200 = 89.6 fps

X1000, MSI radeon R9 270X not working :(

Could someone post their current scores on the X1000?
I mentioned here myself that I got 53 fps on the R9 270; I remember that later on, better Quake III builds came out, where I was getting as high as 72 fps.

Unfortunately, my R9 270 died a long time ago. I now have an R7 240, and I wanted to run some tests today to see next week if Kas1e patches, which boost the clock speed to 2100MHz, actually make a difference.

Unfortunately, the performance I'm getting on the R7 240 is poor. I've tried Warp 3D SI, Nova Bridge, GL4ES, and several different Quake III builds; sometimes I only got 18 fps, and with the best build I found, I managed to get 30 fps. For comparison, on the X5000 040 & RX 560 I get 130 fps.

I'm wondering if the R7 240 graphics card is really that weak, or if something has gone wrong with AmigaOS 4 for the X1000 over the past few years, which is why the performance is so poor?
