i have been wanted to go down this road my self and do some testing.. but i fear it is difficult to setup. my main pc is ryzen 9 7900x with radeon 7900xtx with 64gb, i also have sam460ex.. and got a few gfx card to test with, old 7979 3gb 470x 8gb, vega 56. i will home in 3 weeks because of work.. if anyone willing to guide me i can can test thing out on this machine

don't the X5000 come with a step by step guide on how to prepare partitions and install os4.1, the guide that was included in 460ex was really good and if followed it exactly it was no issues at all.. i remembered i first was little scared at first.. but the install guide was so good.. very good ACUBE:)

I'm interested trying out emulating OS4 on my pc.. i use a fast pc but, i'm wondering what OS version to use, i have my 460ex and the Boot Cd/ISO for OS4..
and i also have OS4 Classic for PPC boards. i don't have Pegasys OS4, is it needed?
also i read much of the information guides for made by balaton, assuming it his work.
And seems i can use what i have to make it work, but is it the best?

My pc is Win11 AMD CPU 7900X + 7900 XTX GPU.. what is the best way to get OS4 emulated on this system?

Okay, this made me more confused. i thought you meant off topic like "news about electronic, software, games, or ad's not related Amiga at all" because i don't think i seen that.
But, Aros, amikit-arm, fcpga, morphos is related..a lot has been shared between them all. and they don't steal precious OS4 space and BTW they are not discussed in topics, that we have Fpga, amikit,aros, morphos forums for.

It isnt a problem seeing them in news section..
As an Amiga fan, i like seeing everything related to Amiga in news, i don't visit any other sites..We don't need this kind of noise.. you seen what amigaworld has become..
A war between camps never seem to end even though all camps lost the war.. now we all trying to co-exist for us that remain.

Everyone knows Amigans is OS4 sentric, and that's why i like this place,

We aren't many left.. we should all be one.

total agree! but just curious.. does this happen often? not sure if i have seen news about stuff not concerning Amiga ish things.. can you give example?

i just drag and drop the HD partition icon to a backup hd setup new harddrive..drag and drop back in. never had any issue with that, even this i even do with OS disk..

just a question, while i do have sam460ex i also have vampire..is both version in the boxed one?

LOL i got 3800 fps using web version on my pc. is there any ready to go executable for for download so i can test?

yea..been a while since i done it, don't remember how.

just realize i have 2 480 8gb card laying around. not sure if they work on sam460ex or fit in it because of my soundcard and sata card. if anyone need i can sell those very cheap

shouldn't you change monitor driver in devs too? remember i needed to do that when i upgraded. so your gfx card not load old settings, correct me if wrong.

isn't it just the kernel that is alien (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) that will be emulated so it will bring drivers and api + dual core from linux world, rest will be native os4... the kernel reside in vitual machine on boot. and load os4 from native side like rabbit hole..after kernel is loaded.. or must os4 need to be in the same boat?


or do we we neeed another host computer for it?
