Battle for Wesnoth OS4 port
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

See User information
I've compiled and uploaded the latest stable version (1.4.5) to OS4Depot.

Since I now have a widescreen LCD monitor with native resolution of 1680x1050 (an Acer X223W Q) I have modified Wesnoth to add this screenmode to the screenmode selections list. I'm considering making a patch with this but first I'd like to know if anyone wants any other resolutions added to the list.

I haven't compiled the compiled the latest development version (1.5.x) yet since it requires pango cairo which in turn requires glib and newer cairo libraries.

I just tried "Tale of two Brothers" and it starts OK here.

Maybe you could upload the crashlog here so I could look at it?

I thought pango needs glibc?
However glibc and pango are both needed to compile swfdec that could be used to add Flash support to OWB.

How much is your system stack, or how much is defined for the game? Just a guess...but I would imagine Wesnoth needs some stack because it's pretty complex.

you should add always a stack cookie into the program.. just to be safe..

I noticed salass has written to changelog it has a cookie. Maybe worth checking that it's not stripped away?

I checked by using Ranger and running from CLI without increasing stack before and after adding the stack cookie so it does work.

In the source code it has __attribute__((used)) so it won't be optimised away by gcc.

I have submitted patches of all my changes to patches.wesnoth.org.

Upped to which value? This is stange because apparently BoW already has a large stack by default.

I noticed that but tried anyway.
May have just been a one off glitch and upping the stack was just a coincidense.

Raised it to 117056.
