Tried to make a comment for one of news items, and when i first time press "publish", it give me:

Quote:

Errors

None

When i try another time, it didn't show me anything, just put me back on main page, and comment didn't show ups.

I get exactly the same problem (using Firefox on Windows).

One more bug (less important, but still). When i do "logout" , browsers (all of them) some me main page like i still logged in. Then , if i press on any other page it shown be that i unlogged. I.e. problem that when you press "logged out" it show you page where you still logged in.

Not a bug but a request about the page numbers in the front page topic list. At the moment they are shown as "[1][2][3][4][5]...[8]" Which to me seems a bit silly as people following the thread would want the last pages and people not following it only the first page which is the the title link anyway.
Could it be changed to "...[3][4][5][6][7][8]" (last 4 or 6 pages) or if you want to keep early pages for people that read it newest first "[2][3]...[6][7][8]" (first 3 pages -[1] is not needed- and last 3 pages)

OK, this constant logging in is becoming a royal PITA. Looking at the cookie cache, it appears the "xoops_session" cookie times out after 15 minutes, so this would probably explain it. Is there any way to extend the TTL of that?

I looked through the site preferences, but couldn't see anything.

I am looking for the cookie, although for me works just fine. It still expires your login even when you have the "Remember me" checkbox selected?

About the comments in the news items, I fixed it tonight. Please, check this out.

I rechecked the preferences. The session cookie lasts for 15mins. That is when you login without checking the "Remember me" checkbox. When you do, this cookie lasts for 1 year.

Anyway, I changed the session and cookie names, so everyone must be logged out now.

@all
You might already seen that the category icons returned to the news item. :D

I found and fixed one more bug at the forum topics, where the links "Previous Topic" and "Next Topic" didn't work. I don't know though how many of you actually use it.

Maybe not strictly related to the site update, but:

Would it be possible to increase the number of threads shown on the front page ("Recent replied topics")? It seems there is more traffic on Amigans than before (nice!), which makes it more likely that threads disappear off the bottom even when checking daily.

Best regards,

Niels

The option to get a big list like on AW.net would be useful.

@walkero

View/edit account not working still. I managed to get an error message about lacking the necessary permissions at one point. Seems ordinary users can access those but not notifications. Can you look into please?

2 more issues found:

1. I can't use tags "quote" and "code" by default in the posts to the new items. Everything just messed up in one single text.

2. I can't use "preview" when i edit my post in the new-items. Its just wait for something for few seconds, and then just bring me on the main page.

And having big list of recent threads will help a lot as well. Like some small text at bottom of forum posts "last recent topic activity" and there is some pure list of last 100-200 topics where activity was. Because if something is disappear from front page, then latest in all those forums pretty hard to find out anything.

Wait for 30 seconds before new posting is acceptable, but I don't think that you have to wait another 30 seconds each time you edit a post of yours.

I am not about posting, but about preview, which always was without 30 seconds waiting. As well as tags like "quote" and "code" works before in the news-items comments too.

Posting comments on News items is partially broken:

The comment form visible at the bottom of a news item simply does not work! Confusingly you have to click on the FIRST "Post Comment" button (above the comment form), which then takes you to a comments form which DOES work.

With the recent adaption of the forum settings, the thread's page-selector is missing again. Is it possible to restore that again?
