If 700 means that there are at least 700 actives OS4 users, it's very great !

@tolkien I thought that Amistore was only OS4 compatible. No ?

When I buyed PPaint for Amiga Classic i received a nickname and a password. If I go to the link for download it i can see A-EON / AMIStore nickname: With my nickname, and I can edit my profile and see my AmiStore Credits. I don't know if this is the same account type but It is what It shows and i think my profile counts as one of those 700.

@tolkien
Thank you for your explanation.
Therefore no way to know how much OS4 have real users.

@zzd10h me not too... same as tolkien but I have a not yet installed classic version so I will be :) but it is very propable that there are a number of people registered who only bought the 68k version of PPaint and not interested in AmigaOS

@OlafS3 "who only bought the 68k version of PPaint and not interested in AmigaOS" it's why, at first, I was happy to know that at least 700 users were using OS4... Now, I know that we are fewer (as I thought previously). False hope.

@zzd10h Guillaume do you think that all AmigaOS4's users worldwide have an AmiStore account ? I don't think so, in reaility that numbers say almost nothing and should be taken for what they are, merely an indication

@samo79 No, I don't think that all OS4 users have an AMIStore account. ""If 700 means that there are at least 700 actives OS4 users"" As I said it could have been an indicator of how many at least OS4 users are actives.

@zzd10h There were 1000 downloads of my xpkSQSH update not long after OS4.1FE was released. It would have been offered and downloaded by AmiUpdate after a new install. It's now up to 2000. Read into that what you will, but I'd say there are "probably at least 1000 active OS4 users".

Whichever way we try to guess at the number of OS4 users, it's going to be nothing but a guess. Noone knows except the ones who are not going to tell us
.
Best regards,
