the problem here is not Tunenet but shoutcast.com changing again its servers...
In fact Tunenet is a part of the problem because it's using old shoutcast API which shoutcast wants to fade out (of course because the new API v2 requires payed registration by the application devs)
@Mikey_C If TuneNet is really abandoned, then it would be great if he could open source it - or at least give the source code to someone else he trusts...
@Mickey C Saying that Tunenet is dead is a bit unfair, I mean it works, apart from the radio serach aspect, the radio playing aspect has no issues if you know the url. It's an excellent player, and new formats can be supported via plugins.
@CHrisH
That would be nice.
@Thread There's nothing stopping a developer writing a seperate radio search facility, a that invokes the player of the users choice.
My last email to Bean was asking him to consider releasing the source code for someone else to develop. I did not get a reply. (He'd replied to previous emails)
So in my book, Tunenet is dead (development wise)

No cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it.

I went to shoutcast.com, selected "copy link" for a radio station and entered the URL in the TuneNet "Open URL" requester and Tunenet just says "Playback Finished". How does one obtain a playable URL from shoutcast? I went to "SKY FM" and couldn't get a link, just a play option that tells me I need Adobe Flash to play the music. Unless I can use TuneNet to stream music I'd have to agree it's dead and I'll just play local files with AmigaAMP. Quote:

How would a developer go about searching the entire Internet for music streams?
