- Memory leak: Buffers were not being freed, causing RAM usage to grow by 1% every 5-6 seconds until all available memory was consumed.
- GUI window resize bug: The lower part of the window was not redrawn when resizing, which looked broken when shrinking the window.
- V-MPlayer can now also be used standalone: Double-clicking opens a file requester for media files (audio, video, images).
- DigiBooster (DGM) support added: DGM files can now be played back.
- Mouse wheel volume control added: Scrolling the mouse wheel over the video window now adjusts the volume.
- OSD menu added to the VAAPI output along with a minimize button for the Workbench window.
- Hollywood GUI greatly extended: German, English and French language support, plus a new Playlist window with persistent playlist saving.
If you would like to support this project, you will find a donation link in the video description. Please keep in mind that with V-MPlayer, AmigaOS4 now has a truly modern open-source media player offering full hardware-accelerated video playback for the very first time. Any support is greatly appreciated and helps to keep this project alive.

Just add in the AREXX support from the current versions of MPlayer and you have the ultimate player for AmigaOS4.
As I've emailed you, I'm certainly willing to help test.
This would allow editing and subtitling up to 4k videos on OS4 using Videoclipper and Simplesub. It would also allow player control from ffmpegGUI. This would certainly provide me motivation to further enhance those programs.
@Maijestro Massive amount of time were surely spend into, looks quite good already. If you doesn't mind, some small things to make it even better:
Maybe ditch hollywod completely, and wrote gui on C/reaction/etc, with AI that not so much matter what you will use, just it will be more system friendly, smaller, and fits better. Or at least maybe skins, to to make it looks "system" kind ?

Please bear with me a little longer - I will release everything in due course and also run beta tests. It is already in good shape, but I am very motivated right now to make it even better. ARexx is already partially integrated and working, but not yet complete. For your GUI you would need FFmpeg standalone anyway, not V-MPlayer. FFmpeg is currently statically linked. Once V-MPlayer is finished, I will also provide a VAAPI hardware-accelerated version of FFmpeg in version 8.1.

Anyway, its still quite good already.
You will hardly believe it, but by now I have been working on this daily for 3 months - and yes, it is already good, but not good enough yet.
As for the GUI, it was simply the easiest way for me to deliver something. Sure, not everyone may like Hollywood as a GUI toolkit, but personally I enjoy it.
Unfortunately it is too late for Reaction since I am in the final phase and would have to start all over again. Most people seem to think that AI can work miracles writing Amiga code and get everything done in a few hours or days. I had hoped for some help with that, but it was not available - so I did it with Hollywood instead.
But you have actually given me an idea: a Skins or Themes tab. I could make it look more similar to Reaction and let the user decide what they prefer - colorful and modern, or closer to the AmigaOS4.1 standard.

Yes, my software uses ffmpeg and the version we have works quite well. My software also uses MPlayer to preview and view the videos through AREXX control. Great to hear it's being implemented. V-Mplayer will be a great addition to support high resolution videos. Just offering my services to beta test. Don't hesitate to contact me when you get to the point where you are ready. Keep up the good work!
Great YT video. Would be good to be able to watch it in full res. ;D
It's good to see you have streaming working! That's one of my biggest uses of MPlayer. Have you tried/gotten seeking working in YT streams too?
I'm also interested in seeing the full ARexx command set being supported. It's an Amiga thing. ;D
Otherwise I hope your new version also fixes some of the bugs on the current public version:
- prematurely ending streaming videos - sometimes loosing audio midway through a streaming video - huge CPU hit, proportional to the video, length before play
I hit your paypal account. I hope it helps pay for lotsa Pizza and Bier during your hacking!
