The Settlers II Gold Edition Comes to Amiga – October 18, 2025

Hi,

I have just received the digital download of Settlers II (waiting for the Collector Edition to arrive) but it won't install on Update 3 :

Installation is ok with Update 2 on my Sam460 (maybe something modified in Installer in Update 3).

It worked for me on Update 3. Is there a manual anywhere? I launched it and couldn't easily see how to do anything.

I have a question.
Is there a map editor included in the Amiga version?

OK. Recently, I've been trying to do something with ‘Return to the Roots’ on AOS4.
The ‘s25edit’ editor creates maps that seem to be compatible with the originals. I'll check if everything works.
When it's ready, I'll be able to share it.

If there are any elements missing for a complete port of Settlers II for AOS4 (including the editor), this is a great opportunity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Amiga and the release of the long-awaited port of Settlers II for the Amiga.
As usual, there are still many things to check and ensure compatibility with the original Settlers II port, but...
Here's a short video showing how I'm testing various things and what's currently working.

Additionally, a map editor based on s25edit (RTTR) for AOS4 has been made available by HunoPPC
I hope it will be useful for some custom games.

Has anyone in the US been able to purchase the digital copy? It requires a country , but does not have the US as an option that I can see.
