You need to copy the contents of the kickstart drawer of the Enhancer 2.0 installer archive to your SYS:Kickstart drawer.

There is an issue with the installer version from AmigaOS 4.1 FE Update 2 that prevents the correct version of the Radeon drivers and other files from being identified and the newer versions from being copied during installation .

Thanks for the reply.

I have done this, and now my X5000 is extremely unstable. It usually fails to boot after the splash screen. I have to make multiple reboots to finally get WB to load.

Also, performance is much worse. It basically can't play videos.

Weird .

The RadeonRX.chip and RadeonRX.chip.debug for the copied versions should be Version 2.4 rather than the Version 1.11.
The other files should actually be the same as what you had before once you had Radeon HD v3.7 installed . And if you are using a Radeon Rx should not get loaded anyway .

RadeonRX version 2.4 is the only public release version that works with the video decoding .

Yep, that's what I'm getting. I still have the old Versions in kicklayout renamed to #?.old. I'll delete them completely.

Should I remove RadeonHD from kicklayout?

My X5000 now boots and is more stable, although I'm getting a crash on IPrefs - sound.datatype, usually when I open an ASL requestor and click Volumes. I think it's trying to play an error sound.

However, Emotion goes to a black screen when I try and play a video. I have managed to get MPlayer to play a video, but the result is no better than my 7850.

Overall, the performance feels sluggish. When I open an ASL, it is taking noticably longer to populate the list of files.

Check your Soundprefs
Sound settings.
Also Mode Settings .
Also are you using the MUI ASL functions ?

THe video acceleration only works with Emotion (current version 1.9)

for the video playback, make sure you have in your Sys: a folder named Firmware. This comes with Enhancer.

Also, try to set the Power prefs to performance. And try that again.

If the Enhancer Software Installer is used then the firmware drawer will be copied across.

A1222 with RX550 can play FullHD Videos without any problems, while X5000 with RX560 or Rx580 can't play (Crashes after 3-4 seconds with grey screen).

No problems when running Warp3D Nova software (with RX560)

I already reported it Hans via Mantis Bugtracker (Amiga.org).

Let's see what Hans will find ?

Mplayer does not support va.library so that’s expected, only emotion people received information about how to use va.library.

Can you share the brand and typenumber of your cards? Maybe it is brand, bios or revision of the chip related.

Thanks, re-saved my sound settings, and that seems to have eliminated the IPrefs crash.

@walkero @Amigakit

Yes, I have the firmware drawer. My Power Prefs are set to Performance. I have no idea what that is doing - would nice to have some documentation. Result when playing videos is the same. Emotion is as SinanSam460 reported.

SinanSam460's results seem to suggest that the problem is compatibility with the X5000. Hopefully we can hear more from Hans.

You are getting there slowly.

Kas1e has an X5000/020 + Radeon RX560 and no problems with the video playback.
