From the notes on that page, it is probably the version that is still in beta-testing that you want, to enable dual booting.

Or, am I reading it wrong!!

Well I've done it.
Squeaky bum time but have managed it without any accidents.

@Swoop

The SLB file was on the 4.1 CD and sits in the L directory.
So presumably that can be updated without the need to reflash Uboot?

As I read it, it's a new SLB that is in beta-test not UBoot.
Maybe this SLB will enable us to boot from JXFS partitions too ?

Waiting it's not my strong side. I think we had waited enough, what do you think?

Whats SDB?

@all

Was this update done by Hyperion?

I'm asking because there is sadly very little feedback on the bugs.os4depot.net site of UBoot ...

Maybe some of the coders could update their status?

That would be really nice

i think you have no other choice.

andyes, to make it clear, this update is only Uboot and not the SLB for dual booting amiga/linux. But in order to install the SLB when it will be released you'll need this uboot update.

Hi all :=)

As SoundSquare has said it, this new U-Boot is not the ONLY thing needed for Dual Boot of Amiga OS 4.1 / Linux, a new SLB version is required which is in beta tests for now.

This new SLB will require the new U-Boot version released today ;)

Keep fingers crossed ;)

See you later,
