X1000, gb keymap, gb language, AmigaOne Keyboard from Amigakit. I was hoping to try and access a network share. For this I need backslash. The backslash key above enter does not create any onscreen output.
Erm... My AmigaONE keyboard from Amigakit does not have a backslash above enter(return). it's next to the left shift key here. I have a hash key next to return, try pressing that, if it works swap the two key tops over.

On a swedish layout it is using AltGr (or just Alt) and the ?+ key which is to the right of 0(zero) (on a swedish layout). Worth trying... Try Alt and all keys in the upper-right corner, and the key between LShift and Z as ppl mentioned. I have |(pipe) and arrows on that key though...

As an aside, do you really need the backslash key for network shares? Samba and FTP both use forward slashes for their paths and roots - it's only accessing shares from within Windows that I know of that uses backslash for paths.
keyshow suggests that backslash is the key between z and left shift, Unfortunately, I do not have that key. z and left shift are immediate neighbours. aw well.

In that case, you have probably chosen the wrong keymap in Input prefs.
