Ouch, nice .. in a way :) Though I think that that would perhaps be a bit too much to make the users endure. (you're a good artist, but I don't think that it would fit the site)
(sorry)
I added it to the banner page for those want to use it :)
Can you make a few snapshots so I can see if there's something that doesn't render correctly?
All I can say is that your snapshots are how they appear in both of my browsers also. The thing is that my eyesight is not as great as it use to be and the contrast is not good on the ones using the black background with the exception of the 3rd one down.
Numbering from the top down: 1- looks best to me 2- looks 2nd best to my eyes 3- Not bad with the letters outlined in white 4- Too much black, can't read Nickman's name 5- Too much black, can't read Nickman's name 6- Contrast very bad on this one 7- Contrast not good on this one
As I say I have to use my eyes and trying to read letter colors which are close to the background color is difficult for me.
Okey, well at least the stuff below the logo should have good contrast. The logos are just logos after all and it's the amigaos4 files people upload that should attract the most interest.
In my younger days I would have said the same. Just keep living and your eyes may complain more as mine do. Not everyone has youthful eyes.
Well, not so youthful either, and I have other eye related problems, but luckily not for viewing monitors (when using glasses).
I see very well until it comes to reading, then I have to wear reading glasses. When using my reading glasses I also do not have any trouble viewing monitors. Those designs were nice. It was just all those dark colors used together which makes it difficult to read.
Look at this site, for instance, They use dark colors on the top and along the left menu, but it is perfectly clear for me to read. I don't see a site preference on here so you may have the same dark red on the top with white lettering. The left menu has a combination of dark red, white, and black. It is all easy on my eyes.
My Mother came down with macular degeneration in her later years. I hope that is not starting in on me.

Well, thats the bits that bothers me, the red backgroud and white letters. Kinda "hurts" my eyes. The rest is fine here.
As always, it is impossible to satisfy the needs or tastes of everyone, even more when there are amigans involved
Oh so true. That's why there is a choice of themes on some sites. And yes, I did find a choice of two themes on this site in the left menu at the bottom. I am using the first one called klesterir_hnl. The other choice called mason_hnl looks good to me also.
