Hi guys

Is there a way to find out what IP address my A1 has picked up when set on DHCP?

Thanks.

Hmm... sounds like an interesting little feature for Ranger as well. I always wanted to add some info. on the TCP/IP stack interfaces.

There really should be a tool or a docky that displays this. Added to that, the internet prefs should probably also display this information (AFAIK, it doesn't yet).

Or you can visit any page that detects your ip. One of them is http://www.getip.com/

@jape

hmm doubt that would work, I wanted my local IP address. My PC acts as a gateway for the Amiga's internet connection.

The other day, for some unknown reason, the Amiga would network to the PC, but not access the internet with its usual set ip address, specified within internet prefs.

Only DHCP would allow networking AND internet access. wasn't the windows firewall either.

I can't understand it either.
