Has anyone here used Videovortex (from OS4Depot)? I was able to install it succesfully, but cannot get videos running if I use the preselection of resolution. Downloading does not work either, nothing appears to RAM: . I already checked that 'videovortexdownloaddir:' is assigned to 'RAM Disk:' as it should.
Download it, install it in Utilities or another folder, and when you click on it, it will ask you to download YT.rexx and install it where it should. Then you search, and it should offer you videos.
You also need to create a redirection file for Emotion or MPlayer in Prefs/Env-archive/AppDir.

As said, that's what I already did, and there was no error messages.
I can run videos at very low resolution with MPlayer, if I do NOT check the preselection option in the menus. Thus the link to MPlayer is already working. But if I choose the preselection, nothing works.
I let Videovortex download and install it automatically, and it reported the installation was succesful. 'ffmpeg' seems to be located in 'VideoVortex/Data/FFmpeg/Generic' drawer. Is that correct?
Is correct. But in this Version ffmpeg will not softlinked to Appdir: from VideoVortex. So maybe it found Appdir:ffmpeg not. Next Version comes with an Installer that will hopefully sort out some things.
You could probably just run ffmpeg once from that path, or even just do a "version VideoVortex/Data/FFmpeg/Generic/ffmeg". Once the executable is referenced like that, the system creates the APPDIR: entry.
I guess that is what TearsOfMe will do from the next installer version.
(Note: I don't have the VideoVortex program installed myself, I'm only guessing based on the above facts and my knowledge of AmigaOS.)
- I downloaded VideoToaster on my A1222 into my Utilities drawer. - I then installed FFplay, Emotion (Full) & Mplayer again into Utilities drawer. - VideoToaster prompted to install YT.rexx. - I clicked yes to download automatically. - But I get this VideoToaster.output shell prompt. - C:lha: unknown command - C:lha: failed returncode 10 - I know lha is in C: drawer and I can type it fine via shell. - Then entire system grind to a crawl. - Rebooting the system restore it back to normal
