2025-December Gaming Competition- Disasteroids 3D ported by "AOS4 fans from Mars"!

For December we'll be playing Disasteroids 3D (a remake of Asteroids) recently ported by "AOS4 fans from Mars"

Download the game at at our very own HunoPPC's website and don't forget to send a donation too

Play in Normal mode. The goal is to reach the highest score possible. Please post a screenshot of your high score below to participate (also note the computer you're playing on). The leader board will be updated regularly.

I'm getting a black screen then immediate guru for all 3 exe's? I used the newer clib4.library that came with the game download as using the existing one in my Libs didn't work at all.

The game works on A1222+, but during the first 5-10 seconds of the first game it is stuttering. For the next rounds, or new games, it runs nicely.

ok thanks to HunoPPC sending me the latest clib4.library I'm up n running great...heck of a fun game to play Hopefully the download link on HunoPPC's website will have the updated lib in it shortly...in the mean time if anyone needs the latest version send me a PM and I'll get it off to you.

Great game, it's fun. It's a bit awkward to play with the keyboard and you can't react quickly, so I played it with my PSX3 controller, which shortened the reaction time.

Unfortunately I get a DSI.... with the game which can be ignored, it seems to be a problem with the clib4.library. Attach the log.



Can anyone else confirm this?

What system are you playing on ? No issues on my X1000 with clib4.library

Check if you have an old version of clib4.library in SYS:LIBS.
Remove it from there for testing purposes. Restart the machine and see if the problem persists.
The clib4.library library is in the game directory. You do not need to install it in SYS:LIBS.
The new version of Odyssey also has this library in its directory. Everything should work for you.

I don't know why this happens, early applications always ran fine.....could also be a problem after update 3....I have no idea. Maybe I should post the problem on AmigaLabs/clib4.

At least now you have debug infos in clib4 so the backtrace is more useful. It seems the problem comes from fclose so maybe you can try snoopy to see what file it tries to access.

There is an exception for Odyssey Alpha, which already includes the repaired version. When I use this version, there is no longer a DSI.

For those who also have problems with Disasteroids 3D should use the Clib4.library from the Odyssey Alpha archive.
