@NinjaCyborg In case of the A4000/CSPPC and AmigaOne XE there were no public versions yet, but IIRC when I got the Sam440ep there were AmigaOS 4.x releases for it already. But still was shipped to me without an AmigaOS 4x.x licence for it as I didn't need it. No difference for me, but would be a big problem if I'd try to sell it: The buyer of my Sam440ep would additionally have to buy the AmigaOS 4.x licence for it. AFAIK only the X1000, X5000 and A1222+ can't be bought without included AmigaOS 4.x (+ Enhancer Software) licence, for all older systems the AmigaOS 4.x licence was a separate buy and you could buy it without AmigaOS as well. Maybe not communally known, but there was an EyeTech "LinuxOne" as well, hardware identical to the "AmigaOne XE" (AKA MAI Teron PX), the only difference was the U-Boot version which can't boot AmigaOS (in an EEPROM, i.e. easily replaceable by the AmigaOne XE version). Similar to the bPlan/Thendic/Genesi "ODW", a Linux-only version of the Pegasos2. In both cases they didn't include AmigaOS/MorphOS licences, and it was not easy to add.
