@walkero Finally I can put Lite-XL in the dock and edit it by drag&drop. It works great and starts quickly. Thank you very much for the new version.

Hi, I have some "glitch" with Lite XL 2.1.4r1 (23-05-2024):
When its window is inactive and I click on its bottom window border below
the "123:4" or "50%" or "tabs"... options it triggers like if I was clicking the option,
| |
| _______________________________________________________________________________ |
| [] | filename 123 : 4 50 % tabs : 2 | L / | 123 lines LF ISO - 8859 - 15 |
+-------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| ____________________________________________________________________________ [ //|
So if I click on the window border, but below "123:4" I get "Go To Line"

@jabirulo I tried to reproduce what you described but I couldn't. When the window is inactive and I click on the border under the info line, it gets the window enabled again, without having anything showing up.

@walkero ¿:-/ maybe is due of my GUI.prefs? I can send itto you, but prepare for an "old" amigaOS3 GUI alike (GUI.prefs) In GUI.pref I have composition effects OFF Input.prefs: Mouse speed: 2:1 Wheel multiplier: 3 [ ]Accelerated (off) Double-click delay: 0,50 secs. Using a betasystem, haven't checked it on public release. Anyway, try this: -Open a file in lite-xl from commandline, I use and (alias Edit Run *>NIL: Utilidades:Misc/LiteXL/lite-xl): #edit gui_prefs.c -Just click anywhere on the file -Now click on bottom window border just below "line:collum" not it the "item/gadget" and I get the "Go To Line:" "request". I can send you a low res video (700KB) via email, so you can watch it.

@jabirulo Thank you for the video. I think I managed to reproduce it even on an older version of LiteXL. I will try to see why this is happening, and fix it, if possible.

Hello everyone. Today I released a new version of the Lite XL editor v2.1.8r2. This can be found on OS4Depot, the AmiUpdate and my git repository at
https://git.walkero.gr/walkero/lite-xl/releases/tag/2.1.8r2 The changes are:
Added
- Added support for the GLSL language
- Added more plugins
Changed
- Various changes to increase the speed of the editor
I would like to thank Capehill because he did numerous investigations and work on SDL3, based on tracking the slowdowns of the previous version. This version is a little bit faster. Try it and let me know what do you think.

@walkero thank you! LiteXL is my favorite development editor. Speed increase always comes in handy.

Thankyou @walkero! How does the speed compare to the sdl2 version?

@davec555 It would be better to see it yourself. In my opinion the latest version is a little bit slower, but I tested it on my microA1 and was good. Keep a copy of the 2.17 version and then update the main one. You can have both of them working at the same time. The slowdowns at the end were not because of the SDL3, but changes in the editor itself.
