@walkero
Thanks for the tool.
This is reported in the .PDF guide:
Virtio-GPU is a virtual graphics driver that enhances graphics performance in virtual machines
using the Qemu emulator. It allows the guest operating system to utilize enhanced graphics by
interfacing more directly with the host's hardware. This provides smoother visuals and better
rendering, making the virtual experience closer to using a physical machine.
For AmigaOS 4, a driver developed by Hans de Ruiter for A-Eon is available. Kyvos can set up
VirtioGPU for you, provided that you have put the AmigaOS VirtioGPU driver in the same folder
as the operating system ISO. The file must be renamed to VirtioGPU.lha for Kyvos to recognize
and use it. So, store the VirtioGPU.lha in the same folder with the ISO images and the OS
updates and create your VM using Kyvos. The produced kickstart.zip file will include the Virtio-
GPU drivers.
Note: This file should be available before creating the VM with Kyvos; otherwise, it will
need to be added manually. Alternatively, generate a similar VM and copy the new
kickstart.zip file into the appropriate folder for updating.
To enable Virtio-GPU, select it in the Display tab of the system configuration. Choose virtio-
gpu in the Gfx device field and check the Show cursor checkbox, as this is necessary to view
the mouse pointer.
Activating Virtio-GPU is recommended after installing AmigaOS 4.1 FE, as additional software
installation enhances the experience. For improved mouse handling, consider installing the USB
HID driver for touchscreen monitors from OS4Depot. In Kyvos, under the Hardware tab, enable
the USB tablet checkbox and click on the Save changes button.
Where can you buy Virtio-GPU on A-EON ?
will it be available in Enhancer Software 2.3 ?
The beta 0.5 is not present on AmiStore
@All
Furthermore, since there are those who have version 2.2, I will have the free update to 2.3 or you will have to buy it separately.
I don't think it's available.
How do I get a WIP version ?
https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2023-10-00031-EN.htmlVirtio GPU driver current status:
Fully working framebuffer driver, with 8, 16, and 32-bit modes
Hardware accelerated mouse pointer
DDC/EDID working, so automatically gets available screen-modes
High resolution
Fast - no need to emulate hardware registers
Virtio GPU has 3D and video decoding hardware acceleration - WIP
Version 0.5 has just been released
Very usable as-is
I can't find it

Thank you
