My favorite tools under AmigaOs4.1
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

See User information
Since some users have asked me how I have configured my Workbench under AmigaOs4.1, I thought I would just make a video about it instead of always “only” showing games.

This is mainly about AmiDock and zTools/Dockies, with which the WB title screen can be greatly expanded and there is also a lot of information about the hardware such as CPU/RAM/network/temperature.

The configuration is not easy to understand for every user and therefore I show in the video how I did it and also introduce my favorite tools.

Maybe the video will be helpful for some of you. If you have any questions, this thread is the best place to ask them

Have fun with the video.

I'm curious why you often use iBrowse instead of Odyssey? Any particular reason? I just have Odyssey in my dock and that's all I ever use.

Yes, there is a reason for this and I wanted to save as much time as possible. You must not forget that everything I have shown was done via my recovery boot stick and it always takes a while for Odyssey to load. You can see it right at the beginning of the video.

Nice tutorial, lots of cool tips, newmeter is actually a icon not a window,
(it’s an interesting way to keep it below the windows.)

Yes, you are right, to be able to determine a fixed position you have to fix it like an icon. If you want to close it you have to delete the icon from the desktop. For me it was a bit confusing and felt strange but it works.

So this icon seems to retrieve internal information from the system and returns it as output?

Thank you for sharing. Very nice Workbench screen and tools.

Are you using the Enhancer clock for the analog clock?

Cheers,

Yes, it is the Enhancer Clock and I really like it because it offers many settings including skins for the clock itself.
